What You'll Do

Deeply understand our customers
Design for a meaningful user experience
Lead cross-functional teams through human-centered design activities
Partner with engineering, product management, marketing and others to better serve our customers
Take conceptual ideas or insights and transform them into successful solutions for our customers
Frame problems, ideate toward appropriate solutions
Plan and hire for your team in order to meet business needs
Mentor and help your team hone in their craft and grow in their careers
Validate that design solutions address customer needs
Design end-to-end experiences that can be successfully delivered to customers
Project manage and staff research and design for strategic initiatives
Apply and extend our brand language within our digital products

What You'll Bring

Exceptional collaboration and facilitation skills
Excellent written, verbal and storytelling communication skills
7+ years of experience designing working software
10+ years of experience in user experience design or equivalent experience
Experience designing for financial services
Strong portfolio of you and your teams’ design work
Strong understanding of systems thinking and service design
Applied knowledge in research, design, software development and prototyping
Direct experience doing primary research with users (contextual inquiry, survey development, usability testing, etc.)
Demonstrated experience with design thinking or human-centered design
Visual design proficiency (color theory, layout, typography, etc.)
Ability to model concepts, experiences, services and architecture
Advanced degree in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Design, Anthropology, Architecture or Psychology Experience leading complex initiatives from start to finish is a nice to have
