Senior - Principal Product Manager - Financial Data Enrichment

 A little bit about us:

We are Belvo, an open finance API platform with the bold vision of democratizing access to financial services in Latin America. We enable any financial innovator to access and interpret financial data – as well as initiate payments from their end-users accounts. We’re turning the messy complexities of the Latin American financial ecosystem into a modern set of tools to access and interpret data and move money in a seamless and secure way.

We’re a highly-technical, passionate, and driven team. We are more than 130 people, our team currently represents 26 nationalities and we have offices in São Paulo, Mexico City, and Barcelona – while a large portion of us works remotely.

• We work in cross-functional, autonomous teams. We follow continuous delivery best practices executed on top of a modern technology stack. 

• Our products are built for developers, by developers. Technological excellence is at the heart of what we do.

• We are pragmatic and customer-focused. We strive to find the right set of trade-offs in order to validate our hypothesis as early as possible, iterating on our products based on customer feedback. 

• We communicate transparently. We do weekly all-hands where we get together to discuss company performance and goals.

• While we are global, we also operate from vibrant offices in CDMX, Sao Paulo, and Barcelona. To accommodate the various timezones in which we are based, we ensure we’re always synced up between 3 pm and 6 pm, CEST.

Financial Data Enrichment is one of Belvo’s main product pillars. You will work across a large group of people to build intelligent, automated systems that help our customers understand their users and data, shortening the time to value after they integrate our solutions.

We’re the largest Open Finance data provider in LATAM with billions of transactions piping through our systems. Our data enrichment models are built on this vast dataset.

Who are our Customers: FinTechs and banks, with sizes ranging from 10-person startups to global enterprises. Our Enrichment team is very focused on lending clients, those providing credit products to their end users. These clients require a deep understanding of the data we provide and the creation of new and evolving models to make credit decisions.

Your opportunity:

• Be one of the subject matter experts that influences the company. Shape and evangelize the Enrichment strategy and roadmap.

• Discover customer needs by building relationships with customer and customer-facing teams.

• Design and conduct data research experiments with agility, iterating rapidly to refine concepts into market-ready products upon successful validation.

• Establish and oversee the achievement of OKRs and product quality metrics, pinpointing key levers to ensure we meet and exceed our ambitious targets.

• Communicate details, updates, and launches across all stakeholders, seniority levels, and customers.

• Guide the Enrichment squad, a dedicated team with expertise in Data Science and Credit Risk Modelling, driving them towards execution excellence and innovation.

• Take initiative in identifying and tackling product-related and cross-functional challenges, ensuring smooth operations and continuous progress.
  

This position may be for you if:

• Product Management Expertise:

• Experience: You bring over 5 years of product management experience, with a proven track record of turning ambiguous problems into compelling products.

• Product Sense: Your approach is thoughtful and creative, with a strong ability to execute products that meet and exceed customer expectations.

• Data-Driven: You leverage data effectively to build products and gauge their success, demonstrating strong execution skills.

• B2B Focus: You have experience shipping data or platform products tailored for enterprise B2B customers.

• Customer-Centric: An obsession with understanding and delighting customers, coupled with the ability to clearly articulate their needs.

• AI/ML and Financial Data Expertise:

• AI/ML Product Experience: You possess significant experience in AI/ML, capable of bridging user needs with ML technologies to create impactful products.

• Credit Risk Modeling: You have hands-on experience in developing credit risk models, particularly within the Latin American market.

• Data Research Skills: You are proficient in data analytics, feature engineering, and credit modeling, capable of conducting data research independently.

• Open Finance Knowledge: You have a deep understanding of Open Finance data, its capabilities, and the innovative possibilities it offers. You should have worked with this type of data in the past
