About the Team
We’re seeking a Senior Manager, Product Operations- Market Operations, the team responsible for all local activities and home renovations at Opendoor.  This person will ultimately report to the head of business operations for Market Operations.  
This leader is an analytical and organized problem solver who will provide strategic insights and lead continuous product improvement efforts for the operators and general contractors who use our tools. You’ll work in a fast-paced and self-directed environment, collaborating cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Sales & Support and Learning & Development teams to guarantee product readiness, communication, training, and support for feature and platform changes, while also gathering feedback to inform future product roadmaps and strategy.  You will be the first formal leader of Product Operations within Market Operations, and will also help inform the vision for what the function should be at Opendoor. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Liaising between product management and operators to rollout new tools and tooling improvements, product management based on the evolving changes within Opendoor products tied to development, and maintaining a list of all pending and recent product and feature launches impacting operators and cross-functional team 
  • Gathering and summarizing feedback on existing tools from operators, and working with product management to prioritize improvements 
  • Establishing and maintaining a consistent, harmonized Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) 
  • Leading a team of 2-3 direct reports to give you leverage in the above

Skills Needed

  • Work closely with Engineering, Design, and Operations leadership to develop, pilot, and scale new products to be leveraged by our operators
  • Understand and be able to articulate operators’ experience with tooling, user trends, and other datapoints that help inform product work to better meet their needs
  • Manage product experts who serve as consultant for centralized and field operators and general contractors (“trade partners”), disseminating updates on products, resolving issues as they arise, and documenting common solutions via FAQs
  • Be directly responsible and/or direct efforts contributing to operational scaling projects, including planning, coordinating and managing launch and adoption activities for new products and features
  • Write/conduct analyses in Sheets and SQL that support financial analyses/models, toolsets, etc. in order to quantify defects, prioritize feedback and make strategic decisions about product scaling
  • Pitch in however you can when needed. We’re a lean team and there will be “all hands on deck” moments

Bonus points if

  • 8+ years professional experience in product operations or product management
  • Strength working with both operators and internal business stakeholders, including product and development teamsDeep knowledge of how product and engineering organizations function
  • Ability to prioritize tooling needs based on qualitative and quantitative data and a robust understanding of the business’ long-term strategic needs
  • Experience managing a team and direct reportsExceptional ability to recognize and analyze trends in data
  • Process-driven mentality and track record of process designInterest in working with, and empathy for, super users who are highly dependent on the tools you’re supporting (several hours of engagement per day)
  • Proficiency in SQLAn interest in real estate.
For CO Residents Only, and in accordance with C.R.S. Sec. 8-5-101 et seq., the estimated base salary range for this role is $132,000-$211,000 per year.
