Operations at Brex

The Operations team is the bridge between our product and our customers. Our priority is to keep our customers happy and their businesses protected, while delivering vital information back to our internal teams. We are responsible for underwriting all of our customers, while simultaneously managing Brex’s risk exposures. We work cross-functionally with Risk, Compliance, Data, and Engineering to allow Brex to scale efficiently, keeping quality top of mind.

What you’ll do

You’ll be responsible for leading three critical functions within the broader Operations Enablement team: Program Management, Product Operations, and Infrastructure & Systems. Collectively, these teams form the bridge between the Operations teams and Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) teams to ensure that the we effectively operationalize Brex’s global product and service offerings. 

A little about each team: 

• Program Management ensures that the Operations team is prepared for the smooth and efficient execution of some of Brex’s most strategic on-going initiatives such as Start-ups, Empower, Travel, and Global readiness.
• Product Operations ensures operational readiness and diligent change management (training, communications, etc.) for upcoming product and feature launches. They strive to ensure customer advocacy and centricity in all products and features that Brex launches by partnering closely with our CX teams to understand insights and feedback gathered from our customers and team members.
• Infrastructure & Systems is responsible for ensuring that our tools are optimized for the specific needs of each team. They work with the Operations teams to deeply understand the business requirements and collaborate with our operational and technical teams to ensure we’re setting our Operations teams up for success. 

Requirements

• 5+ years of project or program management experience
• 3+ years of experience building, leading, and developing a team
• Leadership: Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of professionals, set clear goals and objectives, and provide guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Project/Program Management: Experience in managing a portfolio of complex projects, including planning, tracking, and executing multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Change Management: Experience leading change management, including developing communication plans, training materials, and other resources to ensure successful adoption of new processes and tools.
• Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze data to identify the largest strategic opportunities for the organization. Be able to use data-driven insights to provide high-impact recommendations
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and solve problems quickly and effectively, particularly when faced with unexpected challenges or issues.
• Organization: A keen eye for prioritization and continuous optimization. You have the ability to discern the urgency and importance of work
