As Head of Product on the Jira Platform team you will be

  • massively scaling up the Jira SaaS Platform
  • improving the performance of our most loved and used experiences for customers small and large
  • helping our very largest multi-national customers make their journey from on-prem Jira to Jira SaaS
  • enabling our developers, both internal and external, to do the best work of their lives faster, sooner with more impact and less friction

In this role, you are leading, inspiring, mentoring and delivering the outcomes of a growing team of 9 experienced product managers across Europe and India.This is the opportunity for you, if you:

  • Love leading multi-team, multi-org product initiatives
  • Are passionate about leading and facilitating sophisticated multi-disciplinary problem solving efforts
  • Have experience in a high-growth software product organisation
  • Have a history of working with engineering and design teams to produce an outstanding customer experience
  • Are able to grow yourself and your team to keep up with our rocketship growth

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • Masterful communication skills that enable you to tell a compelling story at the right level to inspire any audience.
  • Clarity of vision for your product/portfolio that provides the team with direction and inspiration
  • The ability to distill abstract challenges into strategy and break down that strategy into a cohesive plan that empowers teams to turn problems into user and Atlassian success.
  • You have learnt front-line lessons of Product Management over many years, nailed hard problems, and have years of experience of inspirationally imparting that knowledge to your PM teams via effective frameworks and stories.
  • You know how to get the best from a team of product managers with accountability for multiple streams of work across teams and programs with complex roadmaps.
  • You know how to communicate intricate, complex large-scale plans in a succinct and compelling manner to the highest levels in the company.
  • Extensive product management experience of 7+ years
  • Experience in setting up a large number of teams to deliver on complex and highly dependent initiatives in a multi-year mission.
  • A proven ability to encourage your teams to build better products with a constant dedication to understand, question, and improve the experiences for our users
  • An obsession for customers and working directly with design and engineering to ship fabulous products
  • You are a great human being, value all those you work with and you seek first to understand with obviously real empathy

Ideally you’ll have:

  • Experience leading large, sophisticated organisations and know how to navigate and collaborate at scale
  • A drive to restlessly innovate by defining and answering the hard critical questions and developing keen insight that leads to delightful new approaches
  • A software development background that allows you to quickly understand complex technical challenges
