Senior Embedded UI/UX Engineer

As a Senior Embedded UI/UX Engineer / Embedded GUI Engineer, you will join our Hardware Tribe and develop the User Interface for our beautifully designed card payment devices. We are building our devices in-house end-to-end so that we can always offer the best value and service to small businesses around the globe. 

You’ll be part of a local, autonomous, cross-functional team, which deals with a diverse range of engineering topics like embedded systems, industrial and electronic design, all the way to mobile apps and backend services. What you’ll do:

• Develop embedded software User Interface / Embedded GUI for SumUp payment processing terminals
• C++/C software development using Qt/QML as the UI framework
• High level implementation based on the hardware abstraction API’s
• Client-side REST API code in C
• Perform acceptance, functional, regression and exploratory testing on the SumUp platform

What you need to succeed in this role: 

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development
• Strong C/C++ experience 
• Experience with Embedded Software Development (Linux / Bare-metal systems)
• Knowledge in one or more of the following frameworks: Qt/Qml, LVGL, SDL, SFML or OpenGL
• Desire to write tests

Knowledge in Web front-end development, Flutter, CMake, Yocto, GoogleTest is a big plus.
