As Senior Director of Product Marketing at Credit Karma, you will lead the Product Marketing function for our core business and coach Product Marketers across all verticals.  Product Marketing needs to scale at Credit Karma and needs a leader, who can imagine the function based on current internal and external situations, including defining the scope, team, KPIs  and inspire the entire organization. This team currently leads development of Go To Market plans, guides testing strategy holistically across specific verticals through strong partnership with Growth Marketing, develops program strategy and macro testing, creates optimal user flows between marketing and product, ensures member pain points are addressed in marketing, and drives integration between Product and Marketing.  

We need a dynamic, consumer-centric and results-oriented leader, who will combine strategy and execution to better understand our members and help deliver experiences that meet their needs.  We’re looking for someone who gets excited to explore, understand and solve real consumer financial problems.  Reporting directly to Credit Karma’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), this cross-functional leadership role requires high EQ and partnership across all Credit Karma functions, as well as leveraging and investing in the relationships with our Intuit companies. 

What you'll do:

  • Build the Product Marketing function at Credit Karma from scratch – carving out scope and alignment on key KPIs along the way   
  • As Senior Director, Product Marketing  for an Intuit business unit, you will also leverage your experience at multi-tiered or subsidiary-structured organizations in order to partner successfully with stakeholders across Intuit
  • Own the product marketing fundamentals: positioning, messaging, user personas, product launches, competitive intelligence, segmentation and product discovery
  • Inspire action through data-driven insights (market research, testing plans, etc) and drive your teams to execute with operational rigor and efficiency
  • Partner with Growth Marketing, Product Management, Research, Brand and Creative teams to ensure the successful launch and marketing support of new products and ongoing marketing of them
  • Provide world-class deliverables to differentiate the offerings in the market, including product positioning and messaging across the portfolio, website/app content; product naming; and competitive positioning

What we are looking for:

  • 15+ years of experience in Product Marketing at a consumer technology company or commensurate experience, such as Growth Marketing or Brand Strategy
  • 8+ years of experience of managing and coaching high-performing teams with experience applying consumer insights to improve the product and marketing experienc

The experience you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience collaborating and working with Product, Data Analytics and Creative teams
  • Strategic mindset with a knack for transforming ideas into impactful product marketing initiatives
  • Strong analytical capabilities, coupled with a creative flair to balance data with actionable insights, recommendations and insights 
  • Experience influencing and leading multiple distributed resources with an understanding of cultural differences in managing and leading people
  • Outstanding communication skills to rally teams and present compelling strategies to stakeholders
  • High ownership mentality with a strong willingness to roll up your sleeves while also being able to delegate effectively and lean on others
  • Experience in a consumer focused technology company is preferred
