About The Role:
Kong is looking for a strategic, highly motivated and strong thought leader bringing hands-on product leadership experience to manage a suite of commercial open-source solutions. The Sr. Director of Product Management should bring entrepreneurial and collaboration skills to driving product strategy, planning, and execution.

What You'll Do

  • Drive the vision, strategy and roadmaps for major portions of the Konnect platform.
  • Be a deep expert in the target market, understanding and communicating the competitive landscape and the problems experienced by the target personas.
  • Use your extensive influencing and communication skills to share and align your strategy across the greater PM team and overall product strategy.
  • Maximize our market impact by delivering great solutions with clear positioning and enablement material for our field organizations.
  • Work with your peer engineering leaders to achieve high performance teams that balance innovation, supportability and reliability.
  • Continue to assist product organization through vision, strategy, and roadmap.

What You'll Bring

  • Deep understanding of the infrastructure and/or middleware (APIm, Integration, LBRs, …) spaces with strong opinions about the dynamics of the space.
  • Strong people leader and has shown a clear track record of success in building PM teams from the ground up that have been highly effective.
  • Hands on experience and success in guiding successful product lifecycle processes.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and developing cross-functional partnerships across Product, Marketing and Sales leadership
  • Strong customer empathy and experience shaping product direction and execution based on customer needs
