We seek to embed a Senior Design Program Manager within a key client account.

Day to day activities
- As a Senior Design Program Manager,you will work collaboratively with design, technical PM's, and engineering teams to plan, execute, and deliver customer-facing programs, improve existing processes, and explore new ways for design to work.
- Gathering requirements
- Managing design team allocation and resourcing
- Coordinating deliverables and managing design backlogs
- Maintaining transparency between design and cross-functional partners
Key responsibilities
- Actively leads the design team and is recognized by stakeholders as UXD’s single Point-of-Contact.
- Acts as scrum master for UXD team backlog: attends release planning, runs stand ups, sprint planning, retrospectives.
- Tracks all major project milestones and deliverables.
- Ensures that design sprint plans meet broader timelines for any dependencies with our technology organization and business partners.
- Oversees design resource allocation, ensuring design resources are not over or under allocated.
- Identifies project risks and formulates and implements risk mitigation techniques to minimize issues.
- Demonstrates the ability to handle project ambiguity and lead delivery teams to identify creative solutions.
- Schedules and manages team meetings and communicates assignments to ensure timely delivery, while also ensuring meetings are efficient and minimized
- Supports the design team’s implementation of standards and design guidelines.
- Prepares management reporting, including status, project health, and financial metrics.
- Ensures all applicable reviews and sign-offs are in place.
- Creates partnerships with Product and Technology organizations, particularly the Product PGM to drive end-to-end execution.
Requirements
- 8+ year's experience applicable to program management
- Product-centric (not marketing)
- Experience working in a cross-functional role in a retail or digital product environment
- Excellent communications/writing & interpersonal skills
- User Experience background highly desired
- Works well independently
- Nice to have:Experience facilitating workshops, Asana, hardware or software product experience
