Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity, assuming candidates have eligible working rights and a sufficient timezone overlap with their team. As our offices re-open, Atlassians can choose to work remotely or return to an office, unless it’s necessary for the role to be performed in the office. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

Atlassian’s Cloud Migrations team is on a mission to help customers migrate their data from self-managed server instances to Atlassian-hosted cloud. We are looking for a Senior Content Designer to join the team, to work on content design for the Cloud Migration Assistants. In this role, you’ll build end-to-end content – from identifying customer needs, to crafting information experiences within a product to authoring effective support content. We’re looking for someone who takes ownership of the experience, thinks broadly, generates compelling solution ideas, and refines the details.
At Atlassian we consider content to be a powerful and essential part of the customers' journey. Our content experts work collaboratively across Atlassian to champion our design language, tell consistent stories, and craft great customer experiences.

To be successful here, we encourage you to have:

  • Previous experience working as a content designer, content strategist, or UX writer within a design team.
  • Great UX writing skills, the aptitude to deeply understand the technical aspects of a product and translate that to a general audience. An eye for detail and the ability to get to the root of a problem with a customer-centric lens.
  • Solid communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with demonstrated ability to work across multiple teams, solicit and synthesize feedback, communicate content design decisions and facilitate content design discussions.
  • A desire to learn, grow and form a strong team - we support each other, try new things and create safe spaces for discussion.

In this role you will:

  • Make substantial impact at scale. We have more than 10M users all around the world, and teams both large and small depend on our software to do their work. As a content designer involved in everything from identifying customer needs, to authoring effective support content, your work will have incredible customer impact.
  • Tackle interesting, complex problems. Working closely with your UX design, engineering, and product partners, you'll have a large amount of ownership and autonomy across the entire content design process. Rather than just delivering product documentation, you'll have the opportunity to define the end-to-end experience of an exciting and critical area of our business.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with some of the smartest (and nicest) people in the industry. Day-to-day you'll work on a fast-moving, multidisciplinary product team, collaborating closely with Engineers, Product Managers, UX Designers, Marketing Experts, and Analysts to champion the user experience in our products and ship high-quality work.
  • Be a true champion for our users. We take content design seriously, and in line with one of our core values, ("Don't F the Customer") are on a mission to become an experience-led company. We want to make our customers love how easily our products and support documentation help them.
