You will be part of a team that will build delightful experiences for customers in AU and UK regions. This team will work very closely with Planday and other teams within the wider portfolio to deliver magical experiences for our customers. About The Role
We are looking for a Product Owner who deeply understands Xero's purpose and someone who will focus their energy and effort on identifying, exploring, validating and solving the right problems for our customers. We're looking for people to work on challenging problem spaces with solid analytical skills, confident stakeholder management and a strong Agile mindset.
What you'll do
- Be part of a cross-functional product team and work with Planday (a Xero company) in the European time zone and other multifunctional stakeholders within Xero UK and across AU/NZ timezones to get a deeper understanding the problems we’re solving for customers;
- Go deeper on your understanding through asking clarifying questions, removing ambiguity and uncertainty by extracting requirements, negotiating priorities and facilitating sessions;
- You will practice great collaborative relationships with peers in Sales, Marketing, Product, Design, Support and CX, finding data to test your ideas through the discovery, define, develop and deliver processes;
- Use your prioritisation skills and work with stakeholders to effectively prioritise problems and build a roadmap inline with the payroll strategy.
- Work with our development teams who rely on your guidance and leadership everyday to help them develop the solutions to these problems.
- Work in an agile way, following build-measure-learn methods, regularly making good judgement calls and trading off, continually putting the customer first.
- Effectively manage communications with stakeholders before, during and after product launch with a focus on defining scope, development progress, addressing any roadblocks and helping GTM launch the feature.
What you'll bring with you
- Product experience working within a SaaS environment.
- Experience in solving challenging customer problems in a comparable role.
- Hands-on experience with Agile processes and principles.
- Willingness to make decisions with incomplete information, and to allow others to make decisions too.
- A relentless customer centric value drive while staying focused on the purpose and objectives.
- Be adaptive to changing circumstances, both in terms of product development techniques and delivery methods.
- Possess a passion for continual learning, be open to constant change and adapt to feedback provided for improvement.
- An open and effective communication style and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- A “can-do” attitude with authenticity, diplomacy and drive.
- Ability to have flexible hours as needed ( Early start on some days )
