Product Owner - Remote or job at Cloud Academy

[PLEASE NOTE] This position can be either:

- 100% remote for full-time contractors or employees located in Europe (within the time zones UTC to UTC+2). A trip to our office in Switzerland (expenses paid by the company) one week per quarter, to work onsite with the team, is required.

- Based in our Swiss HQ in Mendrisio, Switzerland, which is 7km across the border from Italy and easily commutable from Milan, Como, Varese or Lugano. We are also happy to assist with your relocation to this beautiful part of Europe and we have a hybrid remote working policy.

We are seeking a driven, highly competent, and creative Product Owner to join us on the next phase of our growth story, as we scale our winning products to help even more customers and learners.

Role Description:

- Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to craft vision and concept development of a product.

- Facilitate communication across teams and product knowledge transfer.

- Take lead of your team, being the product and customer voice in defining product prioritization and product opportunities, communicating with stakeholders throughout the project.

- Work with internal and external contacts to analyze needs and align product roadmap execution to product vision and strategic goals.

- Work closely with product management/business teams to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI.

- Working alongside the Tech Lead to drive the tactical execution of development activities for specific work streams.

- Keeps up with agile best practices and trends.

Responsibilities:

Communicate vision and direction to the development team and stakeholders throughout the Release / Sprint.
Provide backlog management, iteration planning and elaboration of the user stories in Jira
Produce user stories, requirements, sketches, workflows, and risk factors including edge cases and other potentially impacted functions.
Organize, re-organize, and update documentation on a daily basis to ensure that deliverables such as acceptance criteria, logic for any feature interdependencies and customer needs are always up-to-date.
Work directly with Customers to validate assumptions and communicate potential solutions for initial feedback.
Work with the UX/UI teams to ensure requirements and user stories are maintained in design.
Provide data to assist in prioritizing product bug fixes, enhancements and new feature backlog and development for the product.
Assist in planning product release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities.

Requirements:

3+ years of experience as Product Owner.
Ability to lead a team, drive consensus and understanding of business value around features/functions.
Hands-on approach to user experience and tight collaboration with designers.
Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills
Experience balancing execution, agility and culture in a fast-growing business.
Excellent spoken and written English.

Former experiences as an entrepreneur or in start-up environments.
Time spent in international environments.
Strong technical abilities and familiarity with agile development practices.
