We have an awesome opportunity for an experienced Product Owner to join our global Internal IT team.
As a Product Owner you will be working with a talented team of specialists responsible for executing on our technology vision and roadmap by creating and delivering innovative solutions that ensures the infrastructure, security controls and tooling we have to manage our internal IT systems and assets, scale and grow in maturity, in step with the global growth of Xero.
Workforce Security - The Workforce Security pod keeps our Xeros safe by improving our security control infrastructure, operating our security platforms and ensuring we meet our compliance requirements.
Build and Connect - The Build and Connect pod delivers our Xeros the underlying network infrastructure for our beautiful offices, secure seamless communication and work from anywhere methodology.
What you'll do:
- Assist the Enterprise Technology group to implement and execute effective fit for purpose engineering practices.
- Coach and manage delivery teams to facilitate and improve on a reliable delivery cadence
- Produce data to demonstrate and track the team's performance.
- Proactively identify and facilitate the removal of impediments, protecting the team from disruption and helping them honour commitments.
- Ensure key collaboration and control ceremonies and processes are followed and carried out in an efficient manner.
- Work closely with the Product Manager to set expectations for sequencing and delivery, based on best understanding estimations.
- Foster a culture of collective ownership and accountability for the work completed within the team.
- Work closely with the Product Manager to ensure stakeholders are provided with the information they require in a timely manner.
- Work with Architects, Competency Leads and Product Managers to manage resource and capability commitments.
- Provide input to the wider team for capability performance, growth and learning.
- Collaborate with a range of teams and competencies (including vendors) to help define, manage and schedule programs of work; and to unblock dependencies as required.
What you'll bring:
- Working with senior and executive stakeholders to understand objectives, value and success measures for new features and enhancements
- Working with Architecture, Analysis and Delivery Teams to refine and manage scope and requirements
- Ability to comprehend and have an understanding of the wider Teams portfolio of delivery and how you fit into that
- Proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude, exceptionally self-motivated and directed
- Ability to work in a diverse, fast paced environment and effectively collaborate across international teams
- Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Agile planning, documentation, scheduling techniques and tools
- Experience with SaaS platforms and solutions
