Product Owner (Fincrime) - job at Revolut

Please note that this is a remote role to be hired within the country & the candidates can be based in Mumbai, Bangalore, or Delhi NCR, where we will be opening our physical offices in India.

We incorporated the India Entity in April 2021. Fast forward to today, we now have a growing team of over 50 Revoluters working hard towards our official launch. Each product at Revolut is led by a product owner, who leads a team of product associates, data scientists, and engineers.

Product Owners are a special component of Revolut’s ecosystem. As a Product Owner, you assume complete responsibility for your product roadmap and hence guide your team via prioritization to ensure smooth and timely project execution. You will have regular exposure to senior management, and be relied upon as the go-to person for your product. You will be highly exposed to the practicalities of customer-facing processes, the nitty-gritty of engineering, and the nuances of communicating complex ideas to senior management and banking partners alike.

About The Role

We’re looking for Product Owners to help build and continuously improve a world-class set of financial crime risk management products for India. The Financial Crime technology team has developed highly-acclaimed proprietary fraud prevention products in the past and we expect nothing less from you. (Refer articles 1 & 2)

When you launch these products in India, you’ll be focusing on-delivering a seamless digital onboarding experience that minimises costs while maximizing customer convenience leading the deployment of customer risk assessment algorithms customized to the Indian context measuring & optimizing the performance of real-time transaction monitoring algorithms for prevention of fraud and money laundering

What You’ll Be Doing

As a product owner, you’ll be responsible for building new products, monitoring product metrics and optimising products on an ongoing basis
Think ahead, coordinate with Strategy & Operations team to gather inputs, and build industry leading products
Proactively monitor, identify, and solve issues using SQL and PythonLead product meetings and spec out solutions with engineers and data scientists
Always keep the flow going! Make sure operations, development, and everything in between is working smoothly on a daily basis
Communicate with senior management and banking partners about key issues

What You’ll Need

You have experience in a Product Owner or Product Manager role building mobile applications
A strong track record of achievement in building products, quantifiable improvement in product metrics, and demonstrable ability to lead teams
The ability to think at a high level about product strategy and clearly articulate decisions
Strong communication skills and ability to influence all levels of stakeholders
Ability to solve complex problems by breaking them down into components and prioritising them
Analytical thinking and strong understanding of user experience
Ethically motivated to reduce financial frauds, money laundering and terrorist financing
