You'll be working with a cross-functional team of great engineers and designers tasked with the development of a key part of the Xero Practice product. In this role you will have a strong reliance on championing our customers needs, understanding what will drive success for Xero, being able to provide leadership through ambiguity, and help the team plan and operate accordingly all the while navigating the evolution of this product. Drawing on your problem solving and leadership skillset, as well as your effective stakeholder management will be essential to be successful within this position. A mindset of ownership, accountability, curiosity and customer-centric prioritisation will be most valuable.
Day to day you will:
- Work closely with their Product Manager and other Product Owners to ensure alignment with the global Xero roadmap.
- Have an understanding of the demands for features and enhancements. This includes listening to and interacting with leadership teams, product managers, sales and marketing, product teams and customers.
- Research and analyse potential solutions and improvements that drive the most value for customers and how they can be delivered.
- Own the delivery of the roadmap, product planning, and requirements for new features and improvements. Leading a product team across each phase of the product delivery lifecycleBe able to prioritise feature requests, enhancements and bug fixes into an achievable roadmap.
- Collaborate closely with the wider product team to align shared priorities and outcomes.
- Work closely with your team to define scope, milestones, and ensure on-time and in-scope delivery of products.
- Maintain strong communications with all teams at Xero, in particular, the Development, Design, Documentation and Training teams
What you'll bring:
- Advanced relationship management skills, experienced in working with a variety of business units (all with competing priorities)
- Great communication skills that help you convey big and complex concepts to different audiences and stakeholders
- Proven analytical skills, efficient decision making skills and the confidence to work in ambiguity
- Experience with exploring customer problems and defining how they can be solved to deliver business value.
- Passion for product management and delivering user-centric products
- Experience in product thinking and working with agile product teams not essential but beneficial
