What you will be doing at 10X

As the Fees & Rewards Product Owner you’ll work with your product and engineering colleagues to build out a fees and rewards capability that solves real customer problems and meets market needs.

You’ll work with clients and 10x colleagues to gain a deep understanding of customer jobs to be done and support the development of the wider strategic product roadmap.

You’ll do this through the following types of activities, as well as being encouraged to bring your own ideas and experiences to bear in continually improving our product ways of working:

  • Contribute to uncovering customer jobs to be done, pain points and opportunities for new product provision which can add value to our customer base and drive value into the wider 10x product offering
  • Research into our target markets and segments to make sure the product you build meets market needs
  • Work with your team to progress initiatives in line with organisational goals and the strategic direction of our product set, using customer insights gained
  • Own and be accountable for key stages of the software development lifecycle such as ideation, discovery and elaboration, backlog refinement, prioritisation, progress monitoring and sprint demos
  • Maintain good communication with key stakeholders on progress and challenges ensuring that product, engineering, customer facing teams and others remain aligned and informed and that obstacles are navigated quickly
  • Manage dependencies across multiple other teams to achieve sprint outcomes and ensure sequencing of work is aligned with other linked teams
  • Ensure agile development team sprint goals are achieved, definition of done is met and working software is deployed
  • Provide a clear understanding of upcoming functionality to your colleagues and our clients
  • Write great documentation explaining what your product does and how to work with it for our clients
  • Act as the SME for your product and be able to talk in detail about it at all levels of the organisation

Requirements

About you

At least two years’ experience in product ownership or management is must.

We're looking for candidates that have a proven record developing propositions within financial services, fintech or other digital organisations. The successful candidate will be self-directed, outcome focused and have good communication and influencing skills.

Ideally you will have...

  • Strong product management or ownership skills developed in a digital organisation
  • Experience working closely with a team of engineers in a scrum or Agile environment
  • Experience working at customer level to understand underlying needs
  • Experience managing and prioritising a backlog
  • Ability to manage competing demands, challenging conversations, resolve conflicts and effectively mediate disputes
  • Ability to effectively influence and manage a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders across all levels of seniority
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of applying Agile principles and frameworks
  • Experience working with APIs and microservices architecture (or a strong desire to learn)
  • Some experience and understanding of financial products and financial services
