About the role: By combining best-in-class autonomy and cloud connectivity, drones will become critical and ubiquitous infrastructure that can be deployed and monitored in real-time to solve a variety of problems faster, cheaper, and safer than ever before. As a Product Operations Manager, you will play a key role on Skydio’s Product team across a range of strategic and operational responsibilities. In particular, you will be driving Skydio’s Early Access programs across Skydio’s software products — on-vehicle software, mobile apps, and the cloud. Working closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Customer Success and Sales, you’ll be accountable end-to-end for running the Skydio programs that bring pre-release software to influential customers across industries, from consumer to enterprise to defense. Your efforts will span:

  • Identifying appropriate customers for Early Access programs
  • Crafting onboarding content
  • Preparing vehicles and accessories as needed
  • Inviting and onboarding new customers
  • Managing regular updates and communications with customers
  • Systematically gathering, analyzing and relaying customer feedback to the product development team

This role will also entail other key responsibilities to improve the product development process in general at Skydio, including:

  • Systematically analyzing product usage data
  • Formalizing feedback collection from different internal and external channels
  • Creating and/or streamlining operational best practices within and involving the Product team -- e.g., driving internal “dogfooding” programs to collect product feedback

What you can expect in this role:

  • Ownership and accountability for the success of Skydio’s Early Access programs
  • Direct engagement with a broad range of customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders
  • Gaining deep familiarity with Skydio’s products
  • Working with (and improving) systems and processes to capture and relay product feedback back to product development teams
  • Close collaboration with sales and customer success to build and maintain close customer relationships and ensure success

What would make you a good fit:

  • Three to five years of proven success in a similar role, driving successful operational programs within product development and/or customer success organizations
  • Specific experience running beta/early access programs
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Dedicated team player who strives to enable others to do their best work
  • A passion for speaking with — and learning from — customers
  • Familiar with business systems and tools (e.g., JIRA, Zendesk, Confluence, Salesforce)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
  • Extensive drone/UAV experience and/or a passion for drones
