Bolt is taking a unique approach to improving ecommerce by partnering with retailers to embed our technology deep within their existing tech stacks. This means our product team has to deal with high degrees of complexity internally and externally. Product Operations at Bolt has two key responsibilities. First, they are responsible for ensuring that we build the right product by systematically capturing and distilling feedback throughout the product life cycle from all stakeholders internal and external. Second, they ensure that our most complex products and features are rolled out as efficiently and effectively as possible by helping facilitate cross-functional alignment, running betas, supporting QA, filling in the gaps, and more.
To excel in this role you will need to be structured in your thinking, a technical expert, customer and quality obsessed, and willing to move fast and iterate. You will partner with product, engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to help build and deliver products. Lastly, you need to be comfortable moving into uncharted territories and be willing to go beyond the job description to make products successful. This role will be an individual contributor role.
What you'll do
- Product Operations is designed to support and help the Product organization run at scale, effectively and efficiently
- Develop prioritization framework, methodology and infuse the combination of data + cross functional insights into decision making processes and Product strategy development
- Create processes to effectively capture feedback at every stage of the product life cycle
- Dive into internal data (support tickets, product requests, customer calls etc…) to understand product impact and gaps
- Distill feedback and insights from internal and external stakeholders into digestible recommendations for the product team and business leadership
- Serve as a bi-directional bridge between product and the rest of the organization sharing updates and feedback in both directions
- Help align business strategy and product vision
- Partner with product managers, engineers, designers, product marketers, and customer-facing teams to build and deploy products successfully
- Support our most complex products from inception to launch to scaled adoption
- Create processes to ensure we release products effectively from internal QA to beta release to new and existing customer implementations
- Evangelize best practices across the product and engineering teams to ensure new features are easy to implement
What would set you up for success
- 4+ years of experience in tech, product management, product or strategic operations, business consulting, or other relevant roles
- A clear history of delivering high-quality products
- Detail-oriented and strong executional output
- Domain expertise in operations, product, engineering, design, data, and go-to-market
- Strong communication skills and project management ability
- SQL proficiency and ability to drive data analysis to support prioritization and decision making
- Experience working with enterprise B2B customers; within payments and ecommerce is a plus
