Subscription businesses such as Sling TV, FabFitFun, Cinemark and Fubo.tv depend on Recurly to harness the power of the subscription model and drive recurring revenue growth. Since its launch in 2009, Recurly has deployed subscription billing for thousands of companies across 55 countries. Our platform empowers billions of credit card transactions and has enabled customers to recover nearly $1.3 billion in revenue in 2024.

Recurly is backed by Accel-KKR, a leading technology-focused private equity firm with over $10 billion in capital commitments. The partnership offers Recurly access to significant capital and resources to make continued investments in technology and platform innovation and expand our go-to-market initiatives.

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Product Operations Leader to build, scale, and optimize our product operations function. Reporting directly to the CPO, you will be the connective tissue between product, engineering, customer success, marketing, and sales. Your mission: manage Recurly’s major and minor releases, streamline processes, drive cross-functional alignment, and enable our product/GTM teams to deliver at scale with speed and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence & Process Optimization:
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve product development/release processes, workflows, and best practices to increase efficiency and velocity across the product lifecycle.
  • Own the product tech stack: evaluate, implement, and manage tools that enable product management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Standardize planning, reporting, and documentation templates to facilitate alignment and transparency.
  • Data & Insights:
  • Collect, organize, and analyze product data (adoption, engagement, retention, NPS, etc.) to inform decision-making and influence roadmap priorities across products
  • Establish and track key performance metrics for product team effectiveness and product success.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Act as the primary liaison between product and other teams, ensuring timely and audience-appropriate communication of product strategy, changes, and launches
  • Coordinate critical aspects of product launches, including go-to-market readiness with sales, marketing, and customer success.
  • Product Culture & Enablement:
  • Champion a product-led culture by promoting best practices, facilitating onboarding/training, and fostering a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.
  • Set up and lead regular product ops meetings to drive alignment, identify bottlenecks, and surface improvement opportunities.
  • Customer Feedback & Quality:
  • Implement systems to capture and synthesize customer and stakeholder feedback, ensuring it informs product development and quality initiatives.
  • Partner with technical support and customer success to monitor product health and drive resolution of escalated issues.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience in product operations, product management, or a related operational leadership role in SaaS or technology companies.
  • Proven track record of designing and scaling operational processes in a high-growth, cross-functional environment.
  • Strong analytical skills; experienced with product analytics tools and data-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Deep familiarity with modern product development methodologies (Agile, Lean, etc.).
  • Experience managing a product tech stack and driving tool adoption.
  • Passion for building high-performing teams and fostering a collaborative, product-led culture.

Why Recurly?

  • Opportunity to shape the operational foundation of a global product organization.
  • High-impact, executive-facing role with significant autonomy and visibility.
  • Collaborative, innovative, and growth-oriented culture.
