Shopify Professional Services engages with our partners and merchants to consult, design, and deliver innovative and unique commerce experiences which expand the boundaries of what is possible with Shopify. We work closely with our partner ecosystem in order to deliver creative solutions together, and also engage with large system integrators to ensure that Shopify remains the commerce platform of choice for the enterprise.  

You’ll get to do things like:

  • Structure and solve complex and ambiguous business issues for the Professional Services team

  • Gather and analyze large amounts of information quickly and problem solve effectively

  • Build systems for constant alignment, accountability and feedback, and driving their rhythm

  • Provide visibility and alignment on Professional Services team strategy and prioritization

  • Collaborate with frontline teams, Data and UX Research to disseminate insights leading to data-informed product development, and ensuring the right people are involved in critical decisions early, regardless of the team they’re on

  • Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders to improve efficiency, effectiveness and escalate areas of opportunities/risks to Product Leadership, all while building communication bridges between executives and hands on teams building our products

  • Lead and coach product operations managers and/or program managers

  • Develop a deep understanding of how teams work and what’s in their way, to solve bottlenecks, streamline communication, and help us focus and move faster to make merchants successful.

Here’s what you can expect as a Product Operations Lead:

In your first 30 days, you’d complete the Shopify technical training and onboarding program and develop relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organization. 

In your first six months, you’d be expected to support the Professional Services leadership team and drive 3 - 5 high-priority initiatives for the organization. 

After approximately two years, you’d have the context, skills and network to take on a high-profile leadership role across large parts of the organization. 

Qualifications

  • Has experience successfully leading complex operational and strategic initiatives for senior stakeholders

  • Entrepreneurial mindset to deliver impact in ambiguous environments 

  • Ability to go deep on problems and communicate credibly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Demonstrated experience of problem-solving and analytical skills, including modeling and presentation skills

  • Experience in designing minimum viable process, think in systems while rolling up their sleeves to get things done

  • Strong ability to prioritize and juggle multiple priorities, proven at getting things done in a fast-paced dynamic & growing environment.
