Reimagine the infrastructure of cancer care within a community that values integrity, inspires growth, and is uniquely positioned to create a more modern, connected oncology ecosystem.
We’re looking for a Product Operations Associate to help us accomplish our mission to improve and extend lives by learning from the experience of every person with cancer. Are you ready to be the next changemaker in cancer care?
What You'll Do
As a Product Operations Associate, you’ll be the operational engine behind our Product teams, supporting end-to-end product development and delivery. Your goal will be to enable our teams to work smarter, move faster, and scale more effectively in pursuit of building impactful products for patients, clinicians, and researchers. You’ll be joining Flatiron’s Core Technologies organization, home to the foundational teams that power our clinician facing and research products. Reporting into the Director of Product Operations, you will own day-to-day operations for 2–3 product scrum teams while supporting broader product operations across Flatiron. To accomplish this, you will:
- Become a subject matter expert in one of our core product lines (e.g., Electronic Health Record, Clinical Decision Support, or Precision Medicine) and play a key role in scaling how we build and deliver products that improve the lives of patients and clinicians.
- Partner closely with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and build systems that support insight-driven prioritization, effective planning, and successful launches.
- Enable your PMs and R&D partners to make customer-informed, data-driven decisions; build and iterate on internal processes to scale execution; and support successful product and feature launches. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Customer teams—as well as key external partners and vendors.
- Provide operational support by developing, documenting and improving product development workflows, ensuring smooth execution from discovery through launch.
- Track milestones, manage team rituals, maintain source-of-truth documentation, and help communicate progress and blockers across stakeholders.
- Partner with our data science teams to equip PMs with analytics and dashboards that surface user behavior, product performance, and opportunities for improvement
- Support the implementation and upkeep of tools that streamline product planning, collaboration, and execution.
- Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in team operations; propose and help implement changes that improve how teams work.
- Coordinate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success to support go-to-market readiness and ensure alignment on timelines, messaging, and success criteria
- Gain exposure to how product strategy, design, customer experience, and go-to-market intersect—and you’ll help shape how we scale those processes to support Flatiron’s mission.
Who You Are
You're a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who values the opportunity to think beyond the way things are. You are energized by solving complex problems, bringing structure to ambiguity, and continuously improving how teams work. You have at least 2 years of experience in Product Operations, Program Management, Product Management, or a similar role in a tech or healthcare setting. In addition, you:
- Have a solid understanding of product development processes and enjoy enabling teams to execute more effectively within them.
- Are highly organized and action-oriented, with strong project management skills and a bias toward outcomes.
- Communicate clearly and effectively—across technical and non-technical stakeholders—and help drive alignment in cross-functional settings.
- Are passionate about building products that matter and making it easier for teams to stay user-focused and data-informed.
- Thrive in collaborative environments and value feedback as a tool for growth—for yourself and others.
- Can flex seamlessly between high-level strategy and tactical execution, adapting quickly to new challenges.
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience managing cross-functional projects from start to finish.
Extra Credit
- You have experience working with technology and software
- You have experience working within healthcare industry
- You have experience working with productivity tools such as AirTable and digital adoption tools like WalkMe and Fullstory
- You have experience working with and enabling others on AI tools
