The Summer Internship

At Discord, we offer a personalized experience for interns, and our aim is to offer an experience that mimics what it is like to actually work here. We match qualified interns with projects and groups, based on interests and skill sets and fully embed interns within those groups for the summer. Internships are paid and are a minimum of 12 weeks, targeting a start date in June to accommodate varying school calendars. Conditions permitting, our 2023 summer internships will be remote, with an opportunity to spend a week in the office at some point during the program.

The Team

The Safety PMM (Product Marketing Manager) team is responsible for leading the launch of Safety initiatives, product features, & partnerships. We lead the development & execution of marketing strategies that meet Discord’s Safety goals, from product adoption to shifting industry perception of how we show up in the Safety space. As an intern, you will work closely with several cross-functional Safety teams, including product, policy, & creative teams. You will develop marketing plans, analyze performance, and influence our safety strategy.

• Develop and execute marketing plans, including strategy, messaging, and positioning
• Analyze industry trends, customer feedback, and competitive data to influence product development
• Drive campaigns and communications initiatives to ensure successful launches
• Develop presentations, marketing collateral, and other materials to aid in Safety education
