About Wealthsimple Work
Wealthsimple Work is a modern group retirement savings plan that makes it easy for companies to offer financial wellness benefits that employees will actually use. Originally built for our own people, Wealthsimple Work uses our award-winning Invest platform to deliver a fully digital experience, with lower fees and more inclusive options for employees, and dedicated support for employers. Plus, our simple admin portal lets employers manage employees and plans with just a few clicks.
We’re in the early stages of finding our product-market fit and are looking for an entrepreneurial Product Marketing Manager to join our team, taking our initial learnings and strategy to the next level. This team member will be responsible for:
- Working with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and CS to create demand for new products and features
- Own our market and competitor intelligence and our strategy on how we should position ourselves for success
- Work closely with sales to define and refine our market segmentation, buyer personas, and positioning, value proposition, and ROI story, focusing on late-stage sales conversions
- Evangelize the product to our prospects, partners, and customers, promoting the brand story to the wider market
- Working with our CS team to support both Employer and Employee adoption, showcasing wins and real life stories back to our product and sales teams
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Collaborate and work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, CS, Product, Engineering, and Ops to support our Go-To-Market strategy for new products and features.
- Embed yourself within the sales team working with the front line team as well as Sales Leadership to improve competitive positioning, pricing strategy, market segmentation, and sales process
- Influence lead-generation and content marketing strategy by providing direct insights and perspective for content and campaigns
- Develop campaigns and programs for existing customers to adopt new features and products, ensuring we are providing additional value that deepens our relationship.
Skills we're looking for:
- Brings multiple years experience in product marketing, preferably in a high-growth start up or financial industry
- Experience working closely with B2B sales teams including prospecting and deal management cycles
- Comfortable balancing both strategic and tactical execution. You’re in your element developing new product launches and creating collateral to support the launch.
- Has direct experience working with Product Managers and engineer/development teams.
- Has supported the acquisition of new clients as well as supported existing clients/customers
- Considers themselves, at least partially, a marketing generalist and is comfortable with Growth, Brand, and Content marketing strategies.
- Is a self-starter that can develop complicated and multifaceted product launches into clear step by step tasks.
- Has excellent relationship-building skills coupled with strong communication skills and keen attention to detail.
- Has a demonstrated track record of performance-related product marketing with measurable results
