We are seeking a full-time, US-based or remote Product Marketing Manager to join the team! Stream is proud to foster a tight-knit, collaborative environment between subject matter experts all over the world as we work together to build and deliver software components used by developers at some of the world's largest organizations. We are now looking for a unique individual to help our diverse team expand even faster.

What you will be doing

As Stream’s first Product Marketing Manager, you’ll own both strategy and tactics for bringing new features and products in Stream’s suite of app components to market. You’ll be responsible for establishing Stream’s first truly centralized Product Marketing and Go-to-Market programs by unifying existing pieces of those programs, with the opportunity to audit and reconfigure processes currently shared across multiple teams. You will leverage Product Marketing activity to measurably drive new lead acquisition, mid-funnel conversion, and customer retention and expansion in a free-to-paid B2B SaaS model.

You’ll work closely with leaders in Engineering and Product to synthesize market research into customer-centric messaging and positioning strategies for upcoming software releases, then coordinate deadlines and deliverable work across the Marketing, Design, SEO, Data/Operations, and Website teams to ensure that launch campaigns are synchronized and reach the broadest possible relevant audience through a variety of appropriate channels. Starting out, you will set the standard by personally creating much of this deliverable written content, with the potential to hire a small team of direct reports in the coming year.

Responsibilities

  • Product Marketing Strategy & Tactics: Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to establish messaging for new feature releases and launch go-to-market campaigns to communicate release milestones to both customers and prospects, leveraging GTM activities as an opportunity to drive in-product engagement and revenue conversion. Research and understand the competitive landscape and industry trends in Stream’s niche within the B2B SaaS industry in order to differentiate our products in the market.
  • GTM Launch Cycle Project Management: Set deadlines, track progress, and hold individual contributors across several different teams accountable for deliverable work as required for a successful integrated launch campaign, while directly contributing deliverable content yourself.
  • Sales & Support Enablement: Partner with Content and Customer Success team leads to shape high-level direction, messaging, and positioning that facilitates the creation of internal resources for the Sales and Support teams as appropriate to a given feature or product launch.

About you

  • You have at least 6-8 years of combined experience in content marketing, product marketing, product management, branding, and/or digital marketing or similar, preferably in SaaS or a similarly technical industry.
  • You have at least 2 years of experience in a dedicated Product Marketing role in the software industry. B2B SaaS experience and experience specifically in the developer tools/microservices segment or similar is a plus.
  • You bring a progressive, growth-minded perspective to product marketing, with a focus on high-impact projects and rapid iteration over internal-facing bureaucratic exercises. You have a high-level vision of how to help bring a hyper-growth Series B startup to its next levels of success.
  • You have a strong technical understanding of concepts related to computer science and software development, with the ability to relay high-level information about these concepts with authenticity for a highly technical audience of software engineers and product leaders.
  • You can analyze and segment prospect lists and target audiences to create buyer personas and Ideal Customer Profiles to align Sales and Marketing efforts and build focused strategies.
  • You have excellent verbal communication and writing skills, with the ability to accurately and concisely share ideas, objectives and results with key stakeholders.
  • You have experience developing and delivering go-to-market launch campaigns, giving constructive feedback and stewarding a marketing initiative from ideation to launch.

Bonus points

  • Experience managing direct reports is a bonus but not required.
