Product Marketing Manager

The Marketing Team seeks an experienced Product Marketing Manager to partner with the Product, Engineering and Community teams to communicate the evolution and benefits of the Metaplex Protocol. The Protocol empowers creators to build their own storefronts, games, collections and more - you will dig deep into our various customer journeys to ensure that Metaplex Studios as a brand is not just within a builder’s consideration, but their thought partner through the evolution of their project.

As our first Product Marketing Manager, you’ll get to:

• Help define the role and workflow of product marketing at Metaplex
• Own market positioning, messaging and the marketing plan for the Metaplex protocol and related integrations and services
• Conduct customer and competitive research, provide learnings to product and the entire organization
• Increase ecosystem awareness and mass market skills within NFT technology via long and short-form content: ebooks, creative briefs for podcasts, events, master classes and more
• Partner with the Product and Engineering teams to deepen builder relationships at hackathons, conferences and more

The right candidate has:

• Ability to partner effectively with product, engineering and partnerships teams
  • Can easily assume leadership and responsibility on projects that require collaboration with other departments, for example go-to-market plans for a new feature launch
  • Can create alignment across multiple stakeholders
• Extremely high orientation toward detail, process and project management. Can keep a marketing plan on target, drive toward deadlines and keep all internal and external stakeholders informed
• Succinct and compelling writing ability. You know how to clearly communicate our value propositions and the direct benefit of our solutions. Understands highly technical concepts and can translate into common language that captures audience mindshare

Requirements

• Experience in web3 or crypto a plus; passion and knowledge of NFTs and crypto required
• 6-8+ years of product marketing experience
• Native English speaker
• Excellence in all forms of communication: positioning, concepting, writing, verbal/nonverbal
• Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment and confident to seek opportunities to improve PMM role and wider marketing team
• An innate understanding of the priorities and processes of building open-source technology
