Who we’re looking for
In order to keep up the pace with our growth, the Card and Banking team is looking for a Product Marketing Manager who can support positioning and go-to-market activities in the US. The team is responsible for driving the commercial success of our products together with product management, sales, and marketing. The Product Marketing Manager will support the entire go-to-market work for new and existing products, including consumer and market insight, acquisition and/or adoption strategies, communications planning, as well as implementation across all touchpoints.
What you will do
Like everyone at Klarna, we expect you to roll up your sleeves. No job is too big, no job is too small. You’ll play an important role in developing strategies, plans, and executing product launches and campaigns in the US. In collaboration with our teams in Berlin, Milan and Stockholm from product, marketing, analytics and design, you’ll be building and enriching the consumer experience of the Klarna brand and our services. You should be able to toggle between strategy and hands-on execution and have strong project management skills. To create a smoooth consumer journey, you’ll be working with other domains and disciplines ensuring quality, and creativity across all touchpoints.
We expect you to
- Develop strategies and plans for new and existing products
- Support discovery work by feeding market-specific consumer needs and competitive context to central product marketing and product teams
- Challenge convention and drive experience innovation both in marketing and in collaboration with US brand and commercial teams
- Lead messaging and asset production and implementation for owned channels
- Ensure owned channels are continuously up to date and improved
- Push the envelope when creating preference for Klarna’s services and brand
- Support Growth teams and Brand Studio with consumer and product knowledge
- Manage and coordinate projects across teams
Core skills
- 5+ years experience, preferably from the payment and banking industry
- Proven track record from consumer-centric marketing positions and a passion for detail and executionExcellent strategic and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional work
- Combination of analytic and creative mind-set
- Experience with leading creative work and projects
- Good listener and understanding for cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to proactively prioritize, manage, and complete multiple projects within time constraints and with strong attention to detail
- A positive, go-getter attitude; passion for detail and helping build a growing brand
