The PMM - Global Launches develops and executes go-to-market plans for all new products and services. In the lead-up to a product launch, many teams—product management, sales, marketing, customer experience, legal and more—will work on various initiatives to support the launch. The primary goals of the PMM - Global Launches is to plan the launches, work with other PMMs and the marketing team to plan the activation for the launch as well as working with PM, enablement and CX teams to prepare for launch readiness. This role keeps teams aligned, working toward agreed-upon milestones, and helping to ensure the product launch is smooth and creates the maximum positive impact in the market.
This role is for someone who is fast-paced,flexible, adaptable, and extremely driven. Comfortable with complexity, the team member will be skilled in planning and organising product launches, driving clarity for all stakeholders, and working on multiple work streams in parallel. The role requires someone who is hyper-organised, and will be inspired and motivated by Personio’s mission of enabling better organisations. Strong collaboration and partnership skills with Product, Marketing, Sales and across the business are essential.
Role responsibilities
Define our product launch approach; how to bundle smaller releases into an impactful launch and how to execute on Tier 1 launches for product (Tier 1 launches are the most impactful and important launches of major new products)
Maintain a calendar of future launches, communicating and educating operational stakeholders on the launch process.
Communicate with all launch teams to discuss goals, timelines, deliverables, obstacles, and dependencies.
Developing a strategic marketing activation launch plan based on marketing stakeholder input, with proposed deadlines and milestones for each team.
Communicating the plan to all participants—and soliciting feedback—to arrive at an agreed-upon strategy for a successful product launch.
Coordinating with all teams throughout the launch process to ensure everyone is on track—and helping when a team faces a challenge.
Tracking everyone’s progress, meeting with all departments to assess and raise risks, and holding all teams accountable for completing their tasks on time.
Learning about all teams’ abilities, schedules, and resource levels—anticipate bottlenecks or other issues early and be able to help.
Reviewing and communicating the outcomes of each launch (30-60-90 results post launch and beyond)
Running retrospectives to learn what parts of the process work and where the process needs improving.
Speaking with company stakeholders to discover which aspects of the launch plans work for them and which, if any, create challenges for their team’s internal processes.
Applying industry best practices for successful product launches and incorporating them into future company launches.
Build a strong partnership with sales, enablement, customer experience, product and marketing teams
Analyse relevant data to inform recommendations or to monitor success of initiatives
Experience: 3+ years of experience in a Product Marketing role, where you launched products with results to show. Ideally with previous experience in leading SaaS companies with solutions in the B2B world within the HR space.
Complexity: Prioritisation of tasks and responsibilities across projects in a fast-paced environment. Thinking through complex issues and coming up with effective solutions. Analytical in nature, with ability to draw logical conclusions from different pieces of information.
Impact oriented: Setting out with impact in mind, evaluating what you should work on by the impact it will make. And then you measure the impact and iterate where needed.
Data driven: You have previously synthesised results of launches
Agility: Thrive in a dynamic environment and unafraid to change course when required.
Influence: Strong presentation and verbal skills and ability to adapt how you communicate to best reach and engage your audience—from software engineer to CEO. Writing clear and compelling presentation docs
Digital dexterity: You have worked with various tools such as Slack, Notion, Click-Up. And if not, you are adept at learning as you go.
Team work:Energized by building relationships with people from different backgrounds and with different roles and geographical locations.
