About us

Dayshape is an advanced, AI-powered resource management software company for professional service firms. People are the biggest cost and revenue generator for our customers; Dayshape enables the optimisation of their workforce, handling large, complex, and ever-changing requirements with ease. Our customers include prestigious firms from the Big Four and global top 10 accounting firms, with a growing customer base in consulting and IT services.

We’re an award winning enterprise software scale-up with high ambitions for growth. Recently we won the ScotlandIS Digital Tech Scale-up Business of Year Award and in 2022 we ranked in the top 100 fastest-growing European companies in the FT 1000. Dayshape has also previously been recognised as Scotland's fastest-growing company for three years in a row in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Awards. We’re proud of our Scottish heritage, but we're now an international company with customers and employees around the world; outside of the UK, this is mostly in North America.

As a company, we live our values every day and we're committed to making sure our friendly and inclusive environment grows with us.

About the role

Dayshape is a single-product company that’s grown rapidly from start-up to scale-up. We are a unique, powerful product, but our space is increasingly competitive and we need to stay in pole position. As we develop the product, partner with other solutions such as Workday, and move into new verticals, we are expanding the product marketing team to support this growth. You’ll collaborate with the wider team to showcase how great our product is and make sure the market knows it.

To begin with, this role will support the senior product marketing manager in creating and maintaining messaging, positioning, sales enablement, and competitor intelligence for the whole product in all industries and geographies. In the mid to long term, this person could own product marketing for specific features or market segments.

This is a hands-on role including the execution of sales enablement materials, market facing assets and campaigns, value proposition and messaging, industry research, competitive research and positioning, win-loss interviews, and building relationships with industry influencers. You’ll be proactive and motivated by working at pace to quickly deliver on our important needs while gaining the insights to contribute to a long-term strategy. In short, you’ll know what to do, how to do it, and when.

What you’ll do

  • Create and maintain compelling, differentiated messaging and value propositions for new and existing features and market segments
  • Produce engaging and exciting product marketing content that showcases Dayshape’s market-leading USPs and value
  • Create useful sales enablement materials for the enterprise sales team, building trusting relationships with them to ensure an honest feedback loop
  • Conduct competitive research, disseminate information, and devise strategies and content off the back of that intelligence
  • Assist senior product marketing manager with go-to-market campaign planning and execution
  • Monitor and report on product marketing KPIs, suggesting changes that improve results.
  • Spend time “in market” (conducting win/loss analysis, customer discovery, analyst relations, etc.) to become an expert on pains and priorities, regulatory standards, competitive differentiation, use cases, and how Dayshape delivers value
  • Share insights and make recommendations to product and commercial teams that enable the business to make informed decisions

About you

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a B2B product marketing role - gained at sales-led, enterprise software companies with long sales cycles, multi-level stakeholder groups, and 6-figure+ deals
  • A go-getter who demonstrates initiative and delivers impact in a scale-up or small team environment
  • A product marketing background focused on winning new business (rather than customer retention and/or upsell)
  • Can demonstrate an ability to differentiate in a competitive environment
  • An excellent writer who is proven at transforming technical features and concepts into compelling product positioning and content (please send us your portfolio)
  • Genuinely motivated by collaborating with, helping, and seeking feedback from sales teams
  • Proactively collaborative and curious; with colleagues, target audiences, and industry experts. (Always asking “how and why?” in your professional and personal life)
  • Self-motivated and organised, you act at the appropriate pace by balancing importance and urgency.
  • Excellent stakeholder and project management; comfortable holding senior stakeholders to account on deliverables

Bonus points if you have

  • Knowledge of professional services organisations, particularly accounting firms
  • A background in resource management, ERP, PSA or PPM software
  • Knowledge of April Dunford’s methodologies - we’re big fans!
  • Email marketing, PPC, or other marketing campaign skills

What you’ll get

  • Salary c. £44,000 - £51,000 depending on experience
  • At least £1,000 per year to spend on professional and personal development
  • 33 days' holiday per year (including bank holidays), increasing by 1 day each year to a maximum of 40 days
  • Paid four-week sabbatical in your fifth anniversary year on top of your holiday entitlement
  • Enhanced family leave policies
  • Private healthcare and rewards through Vitality
  • Income protection and death in service cover
  • Matched 5% auto-enrolment workplace pension scheme
  • Access to wellbeing offerings, such as our Employee Assistance Programme and a dedicated counselling service
  • Volunteering Time
  • Weekly All Hands meeting for inspiration and over-communication
  • Time out of the working week for team socials each month, with a mix of in-person and virtual options: past events include hiking, family BBQs, board games and at-home cocktail classes!
  • Genuinely nice, smart people to work with, who are excited about growing our company

Working Details

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week). We typically work from 09:00 - 17:30 from Monday to Friday, though we can be flexible around this, just let us know.

We’re ideally looking for someone in/around Edinburgh, though we’re open to the possibility of this being a remote role (as long as you're in the UK). We operate a hybrid working model, and although we don't mandate office time, most Edinburgh-based employees come to the office twice a week to collaborate and connect in person.

Join the team!

Equality of opportunity is more than just a responsibility: we believe it’s a huge advantage to welcome a variety of experiences and perspectives into the team. Diversity is a great asset and, as such, we strongly encourage applications from any background.

This is your opportunity to really influence how we get things done, and how our product marketing evolves. We're doing well, but there's lots more to do in order to maintain the high bar and pace that we've set.

Everyone here is growing personally as the company grows, so if that sounds like something you’d like to be part of, we’d love to see your application.
