Product Marketing Manager, Enterprise

PlanetScale’s Marketing team is responsible for the creation and execution of engaging, results driven branding, marketing, sales and demand generation campaigns including large global conferences, regional sales enablement events, webinars and targeted account marketing. We also handle the website, paid and organic search, social media, blogs, collateral, promotions, public relations, and advertising.

We are looking for an outstanding Product Marketer to bring our enterprise messaging & positioning to life through standout presentations, keynotes, website, enablement content, and more! In this role, you will collaborate across various teams to develop enterprise messaging from idea to execution. 

This is a high-visibility role where you will be driving or supporting all new industry messaging for enterprise marketing.

What’s the job to be done?

• You will collaborate with an innovative marketing team to build and evangelize our positioning, develop coordinated stories, and positioning.
• You will help define, lead, and drive a global enterprise marketing strategy to further position us as a thought leader in the market.
• You will create and maintain high-impact industry marketing assets including messaging, pitch decks, keynote presentations, and enablement training to be used across the PlanetScale organization.
• You will interact with colleagues at all levels to create and develop impactful and innovative keynote presentations.
• You will confidently deliver presentations to audiences of all sizes.
• You will keep on top of market trends, incorporating fresh ideas and insights to new product messaging and press/analyst presentations.

What you will need

• 5+ years of experience in product marketing. 
• You have a consistent record in crafting compelling positioning and thought leadership content
• You have sophisticated presentation development skills with Google Slides, Powerpoint or Keynote.
• You are an exceptional public speaking with strong story-telling skills
• You have a passion for software-as-a-service, technology, and innovative thinking
• You have a dynamic confident personality with ability to successfully drive projects with minimal mentorship
• You have strong skills in communication, writing and ability to work well cross-functionally
• You are a creative problem solver that can generate and complete innovative "breakout" marketing ideas
• You have a consistent track record in performing well in a fast pace environment and interpersonal skills to optimally handle multiple projects

What else will help you be successful

• Experience working on or managing an all-remote team
• Exposure to relational databases or software development
• Basic knowledge of open source development and communities
