Working at Atlassian
Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Assuming you have eligible working rights and a sufficient time zone overlap with your team, you can choose to work remotely or return to an office as they reopen (unless it’s necessary for your role to be performed in the office). Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
Job description
Today, customers are looking for holistic solutions to their most critical problems, not point products. The Platform marketing team plays a central role in defining Atlassian's platform narrative and helping our Enterprise customers understand the value of our platform. Automation is a critical platform capability that helps our users automate their workflows across Atlassian products and third-party apps. As the Product Marketer for Automation, you'll drive our cross-product Automation narrative, working closely with Product and Sales to shape our story, evolve this story over time as we add new capabilities, and drive awareness of the value of Automation with customers, partners, field teams, press, and analysts.
We're looking for a customer-obsessed Product Marketing athlete to join our team. This individual will be a natural storyteller with a passion for distilling technical concepts down to short, compelling narratives. Someone who enjoys partnering closely with Product teams to establish a continuous feedback loop (encompassing customer input, market trends, and competitive factors) to influence the product roadmap. You'll also be responsible for creating compelling content to feed the funnel as well as help the Sales team best position Automation with customers.
Ultimately, this role will lead the charge and champion Automation both inside and outside the company. You'll be expected to go from strategy to execution and everything in between to achieve our goals, and help make a major impact on Atlassian's growth ambitions.
In this role, you'll get to
- Define the strategic narrative for Atlassian’s Automation capabilities based on a deep understanding of customer needs, use cases, product roadmap, market trends, and competitive forces, working closely with our Product team
- Raise awareness of Automation in the market, including with customers, partners, press, and industry analysts
- Lead go-to-market efforts and product launches
- Create high-quality assets for use by customers, field teams, and partners. This can take the form of blogs, whitepapers, webinars, customer stories, and more
- Develop the Automation narrative for Atlassian's customer conferences
- Work closely with customer lifecycle marketing and other Product Marketing teams to represent Automation value in integrated campaigns
- Lead strategic product marketing projects as needed
On your first day, we'll expect you to have...
- 3+ years of B2B Product Marketing experience, ideally targeting Enterprise customers (SaaS preferred)
- Passion for understanding technical concepts and distilling them down to short, compelling narratives (a true storyteller at heart)
- Deep experience partnering closely with Product teams on product strategy, narrative creation, and launches
- Keen ability to write and develop unique and compelling content to feed both Marketing campaigns and meet the needs of the Sales team
- Bring a critical, data-informed eye to existing campaigns and customer adoption journeys
- Thrive on teamwork and leading complex projects across multiple teams
- Be a passionate, self-starter with a no-bullshit, can-do attitude
