Are you an experienced product marketing strategist and natural story-teller? Keep reading. We're looking for a Product Marketing Lead to define and lead Product Marketing for VanMoof on a global scale. You'll report to the CMO, and take responsibility for crafting and telling compelling stories about our bikes and their features.

As our Product Marketing Lead, you'll devise and own the overall annual concept map for Product Marketing. You'll work with your fellow VanMoofers in Growth Marketing to determine the foundational “always-on” content strategy for effective product content that drives engagement, consideration, and conversion. You'll collaborate with Brand Marketing to define and create product- or feature-centric campaigns that drive brand distinction and differentiation, and connect the VanMoof brand to consumers and cultures worldwide. You'll be the go-between between the Marketing department and our internal R&D team, and work with them so you understand our products inside out.

Our ideal candidate has an extensive background in global consumer marketing and product marketing, and is comfortable interpreting and actioning consumer insights. We're looking for both a big-picture strategic thinker and a detail-oriented do-er. 

What you’ll do:

  • You'll drive strategy, budget, and execution of product marketing through all forms of marketing activity and media to meet defined brand and performance OKRs. 

  • You'll collaborate cross-functionally within Marketing and the broader organization to align on annual global product marketing calendar, marketing messages, and creative approach

  • You'll oversee creative testing and asset optimization to maximize media spend.

  • You'll work with PR/Communications to align brand messaging and content approach across media and owned channels

  • You'll work collaboratively and effectively with our internal team of creatives to brief, review and refine creative work in line with strategic objectives.

  • You'll work with our creatives to brief, shape, and manage the spend on our content creation.

  • You'll prepare and present progress against goals and relevant marketing metrics to team, cross functional groups, and management.

  • You'll work with R&D to help shape the overall product roadmap.

  • You'll help to make sure that we develop products that meet a defined consumer, cultural and commercial need, and position those products appropriately. 

What you'll bring:

  • You have at least seven years of global in-house and/or agency marketing experience, with at least five years at the leadership level, managing product marketing strategy and execution. 

  • You have an excellent track record of devising and delivering world-class global strategies and campaigns – and you have the courage to drive the work to its full potential.

  • You are an exceptional marketer and storyteller, with strong creative sensibility and deep experience with content marketing

  • You have proven experience achieving business objectives and working within a complex environment to hit deadlines.

  • You have a natural ability to collaborate well with others across the organization and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly-fluid environment.

  • You are a pro at translating complexity into simple, clear communication.

  • You have a solid understanding of media mix; experience across multiple marketing channels and mediums, e.g. digital advertising, search, PR, social media, email, etc.

  • You can get the best out of creative partners (copywriters, designers, editors).

  • You're an authentic, empathic leader, who advocates for your strategies, team, and colleagues. You have a proven ability to lead high-performing teams.

  • You have exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. You can express your ideas and influence cross-functionally at all levels.
