Job Summary:

UserTesting is growing and we’re offering an exciting opportunity on our Product Marketing team. The Product Marketing Intern will help bring UserTesting Contributor Network solutions to life. This role partners collaboratively with our Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams to bring new products and features to market with a focus on delivering customer value. As a fast-growing company, we are able to provide a real-world, hands-on project for the candidate which is meaningful to the company and allow the intern to take responsibility for a major feature launch.

Duties/Responsibilities:

During the internship, you will have the opportunity to participate in many activities designed specially to build your product marketing skill set. You will develop positioning and messaging for a new feature, help with go-to-market execution and and perform a competitive evaluation focusing on messaging, positioning and competitive differentiators across  multiple geographies and languages. You  will also get  direct experience using the UserTesting platform to gather feedback directly from real customers and prospects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Help curate a list of relevant global competitors for our contributor network
  • Review and compare competitive messaging and positioning, feature lists, and more across geographies
  • Help drive the go-to-market planning, positioning and messaging for a feature launch
  • Collaborate with product and design stakeholders to provide feedback based on your research
  • Present findings of research to senior leadership.

The Insights team is responsible for all pre-built template content on the UserTesting platform. We design, create, and maintain content that inspires and enables our customers to uncover human insights. Our content supports a seamless experience for our customers on the platform- from identifying what they need to lean, to learning it, to sharing what they’ve learned. 

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Content Strategist on the Integrated Marketing team, as the Content Marketing intern, you’re a motivated, energetic team player with a passion for writing, marketing, and driving results. As a bonus, you’ll have a strong interest in basic design principles and some basic HTML experience. 

During your internship, you’ll work with a team of content creators across written content, video, and more to help the team create and optimize new and existing marketing content for a wide range of target audiences. The content you’ll create and collaborate on will cover a variety of  topics within the user experience (UX) and customer experience (CX) space, including UX/CX research and testing methods, best practices, tips and tricks, and step-by-step guides. 

Upon completion of your internship, you’ll not only have referenceable experience working on a fast-paced marketing team, you’ll also come away with publicly-available content to add to your portfolio, including published blog posts, a research presentation, and shareable clips and highlight reels you’ve curated from the content testing you’ll conduct during your internship. As an added bonus, you’ll get experience with UX/CX research and testing and will have a portfolio of work to share with prospective employers in the future.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Research and draft blog posts

Input content into the CMS (website content management system)

Update and optimize existing content

Audit and categorize existing content

Final internship presentation: Present highlights from one key project you completed during your internship, including clips and highlight reels from your testing. You’ll present this during the last Marketing All-Hands meeting before your internship concludes. Additionally, you’ll write and publish a blog post for the company website that also highlights your project and how you used the platform to optimize and improve the content project you worked on.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong research skills
  • Some familiarity with user experience and customer experience research and testing and/or design
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment
  • Quick learner
  • Basic understanding of marketing concepts and principles
  • Some basic HTML experience a plus

Education and Experience:

  • Journalism, communication, marketing, or English majors preferred
  • At least two years of post-secondary education
  • Experienced writer
  • Some experience with/exposure to marketing concepts
  • Some experience with/interest in UX or CX concepts
  • Some basic HTML experience and interest in basic design principles a plus
