About the role:

We’re looking for a Product Manager to join our Core Banking tribe to own and lead our expansion to the US, by adding US local payments to our platform. 

The Core Banking engine is in its early stages, connecting to primarily EUR and GBP based payment venues, but we have big ambitions for our platform and core banking is at the heart of our international expansion. You’ll be leading the push on implementing access to local payment schemes, such as ACH, Fedwire, and RTP in the US market - from scheme integration to fraud monitoring and instant settlement, you’ll be responsible for ensuring we can go live in the US as soon as possible. 

Our product and engineering organization is split into small autonomous squads empowered to own their problem space. You’ll be leading engineers and product analysts,  all focussed on building an industry leading core banking engine that scales with us. You’ll be expected to own the vision for your space and lead with context in a low ego environment, whilst hiring a team of engineers to help execute on your plans. 

As Product Manager for US Payments in the Core Banking tribe, you will:

• Lead the vision and execution of the banking and payment scheme platform in the US, owning the roadmap, backlog and feature set completely
• Work with our banking partners to understand how we can leverage their systems to provide safeguarding and payment execution services
• Work with our compliance and operations teams to ensure our Core Banking system operates in a compliant but pragmatic way, keeping us aligned with MTL and MSB regulations whilst advocating for the best customer experience possible. 
• Leverage our commercial team and client base to perform in depth customer research and use a heavily data driven approach to defining the currency and account roadmap in the US
• Advocate for product thinking and the product led approach across the business 
• Work with stakeholders in the commercial, marketing and operations teams to educate on the functionality you’re building and integrate new products into our existing systems and workflows 

What we need from you:

• Have experience working in a product led company, owning a core banking or similar system connecting to ACH 
• Experience working with engineers on a day to day basis, and leading the team with context rather than authority
• You’re customer obsessed, always putting the customer experience first
• Strong collaboration skills - you’d consider yourself a “people person”, just as happy working with engineers on specific tasks as you are presenting to the company on KPIs and feature launches, gathering feedback from customers and the sales team, and generally working cross functionally across the business 
• Experience in a heavily data driven environment, using data to guide decision making at every stage of the product life cycle
• A passion for growth, obsessively focussing on how we can grow usage and adoption of our products

Nice to have:

• Expertise in ACH fraud prevention 
• Strong understanding of the ACH services market in the US
• Experience owning a core payments system in a high growth scale up
