You will be the Product Manager for Unity Catalog (https://databricks.com/product/unity-catalog) on Databricks which brings centralized security and governance for our customers data and AI assets.

Unity is the future of meta-data for the Lakehouse providing not only fine grained security and governance capabilities, but also foundational productivity capabilities such as lineage, search, discovery, auditing, and compliance.

You will coordinate all product activities from vision to implementation, including engaging large enterprise customers to understand their needs, developing long-term product strategy, defining product roadmaps, working with engineering to build those products, and coordinating with various internal stakeholders (both pre- and post-launch) to ensure product success.

The impact you will have:

  • Design and launch of the central data governance platform for the Lakehouse.
  • Define the end-to-end user experience for customer success running secure workloads on Databricks.
  • Take new features you envision from ideation / exploration with customers to full launch and rollout, including marketing plan and field enablement.
  • Developed a deep understanding of customer needs and use-cases across Machine Learning, Data Science and Engineering, and warehousing use cases.

What we look for:

  • 5+ years of Product Management or relevant Engineering Leadership position
  • Educational background in computer science or related engineering practice
  • Experience working with databases and/or data warehouses security and catalogs.
  • Strong track record of delivering products with cross-functional teams common to enterprise software industry (field engineering, sales, marketing, partnerships, etc.)
  • Analytical skills to make data-driven decisions (e.g. analyze product usage)
  • Experience in working closely with enterprise customers and channel partners in the enterprise software industry
