Stripe’s mission is to increase the GDP of the internet. Our vision is that merchants can plug into Stripe, and reach buyers anywhere in the world via their preferred payment methods. When a buyer reaches into their pocket to buy something from Stripe, they should use their preferred (not alternative!) payment method.
To achieve this vision, we need to make hundreds of popular global payment methods available on Stripe’s checkout UI products (e.g. Checkout, Payment Element, Payment Links) across web and mobile. The UI platform PM is responsible for building the technical systems, standards, and processes that enable engineers to add payment methods to these UIs. In your first 90 days, you will drive the product roadmap for the UI platform, including prioritizing which shapes of payment methods the platform will support, delivering a successful pilot, and driving key metrics.
You will:
- Partner with product and GTM leads around the world to understand the needs of global merchants and consumers
- Drive the strategy for enabling hundreds of global payment methods
- Set metrics and UI standards that enable Stripe to deliver the best possible cost and conversion for each individual payment method
- Own the technical interfaces that materially decrease the cost of adding new payment methods to our ecosystem
We are looking for someone with:
- 7+ years of product management/management consulting/product development experience
- Ability to drive alignment and clarity with engineering and GTM teams
- Experience partnering with engineering on technical design challenges
- Passion for building excellent consumer experiences
