Thyme Care is an oncology digital health start-up that’s focused on radically improving the cancer experience with early and ongoing intervention. We help those with cancer and their caregivers, clinicians, health plans, and employers by coordinating integrated care that leads to better results, lower costs, and aligned incentives. Every Thyme Care member is assigned a personalized team of physician-guided oncology nurses and resource specialists who provide education, guidance, and advocacy as they navigate the complex healthcare system. We facilitate quick access to quality resources and high-value care, coordinating directly with providers and offering support every step of the way. Our high-touch, tech-enabled model generates actionable insights that allow us to identify at-risk members earlier and offer them the most relevant support based on where they are in their cancer journey—closing gaps in care and eliminating excess spend.

Your mission

At Thyme Care, Product Managers help build the tools and technology that supports our Care Team, patients, oncology providers, and payers. In this role, you will be responsible and accountable for the end-to-end product development lifecycle for the build out of new features and functionality within our care management platform or our patient-facing technology. You’ll collaborate across our software engineering, data science, clinical operations, growth, and market operations teams to build products and services that deliver value to the business, and ultimately, serve those who are on their cancer journey.

By the end of your third month on the job we’d expect you to have:

  • Partnered with a cross-functional team of product designers, engineers, and data analysts to scope and execute a project that meaningfully improves the metrics that matter to our Care Team.
  • Collaborated with clinical and market operations to triage inbound product requests and manage new feature rollouts.
  • Jumped into startup life by rolling up your sleeves and pitching in wherever necessary.

By the end of your sixth month on the job we’d expect you to have:

  • Facilitated user and market research to identify worthwhile product investments and worked to incorporate them into our roadmap.
  • Built processes for internal input into our product roadmap and developed mechanisms to facilitate rollouts of new products and features.
  • Contributed to the growth of Thyme Care by representing the tech team in customer-facing discussions - scoping new projects, providing analytics on existing projects, and communicating our product roadmap.
  • Formulated a viewpoint on the longer term strategies that most directly improve member experience and enable our Care Team to scale.

What leads to success:

  • People-first. Thyme Care’s mission and members matter to you, deeply.
  • Desire to learn. Where you may not have the skillset to complete a task today, you are willing to invest time to learn.
  • Strong translator. You are able to clearly explain technical ideas and concepts to non-technical teammates.
  • Net-new development. You've built and deployed web applications and data products from the ground up. You can visualize ideas through mockups and prototypes; and you find creative solutions to tough problems.
  • Humility and integrity. You listen first, act second. You build consensus by default, but can drive hard decisions when needed. You push the pace. You recognize that hard problems are solved by teams, not individuals. You say what you’ll do, and do what you say. You hold your team to this standard. You don’t let details slip.
  • Comfort with ambiguity. You have experience working on highly ambiguous problems, where solutions are developed via a rigorous and intellectually honest iterative process.

We are committed to promoting the health and well-being of all individuals. As a provider of cancer care navigation, we recognize that those with cancer constitute a vulnerable population at risk of contracting COVID-19.  As such, Thyme Care has adopted a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy, requiring all employees to receive a COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of employment, subject only to conflicting laws and approved exemptions based on medical or religious objections.

Additionally, we believe employees should be paid fairly compared to their peers inside the company and in the market. We also believe that your personal needs and preferences should be taken into consideration so we allow some choice between equity and cash.

We recognize a history of inequality in healthcare. We’re here to challenge the status quo and create a culture of inclusion through the care we give and the company we build. We embrace and celebrate a diversity of perspectives in reflection of our members and the members we serve. We are an equal opportunity employer.
