Tanooki Labs is looking for an energetic, experienced and talented Product Manager to join our team and play a critical role in product strategy and project logistics. In the Product Manager role, you’ll be the key point person between the Tanooki Labs team and the startup founders we work with. We are looking for someone who is a great communicator, with wonderful product instincts and tons of empathy who can make the entrepreneurs we work with feel at ease.
Every project we work on is different and will require a unique balance of project, product, and people management. While the entrepreneur sets the vision for the products we’re building, we often have influence on how the product is executed. As the Product Manager, you will be on the front line of that process.
Requirements
Who you are:
- You live and breathe all things product from PRDs to sprint planning and backlog grooming
- You pay close attention to detail and are able to continually prioritize work by communicating critical milestones, deconstructing features into discrete tasks, and focusing on results
- You are able to translate product goals into backlogs and prioritized features that effectively deploy resources
- You are able to identify and communicate risks to estimated timelines and propose mitigation plans
- You are organized and are comfortable maintaining project plans/scopes/summaries,meeting agendas, and a wide array of project documentation n
- You are comfortable balancing multiple projects and tasks and are able to prioritize with autonomy
This is a full-time position, based out of your home office (must be in the US).
What you’ll need:
- 3+ years in software project/product management
- Experience managing multiple large, complex software projects at the same time
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder needs
- Experience managing elements of the product development lifecycles, such as product direction, driving requirements, and product launch
- Experience with project/task management platforms (Pivotal Tracker, Slack, Jira, etc..)
- Experience working in an agile development environment
- Knowledge of the technologies that make the web work and a passion for staying current as the landscape evolves. You don’t have to know how to code, but you should know an API from an NDA.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and presentations skills
