About the team

The Stripe Tax team enables our customers to seamlessly calculate, collect, and remit indirect taxes for the products they sell. Given its ubiquitous nature, enabling tax for our merchants represents an enormous opportunity that is applicable to both digital and physical goods sellers across the world. We are building ways for individuals in and outside of our payments ecosystem to leverage Stripe Tax so that they might abstract away the confusing and manual nature of the traditional sales tax cycle.

What you’ll do

As a Product Manager on Stripe Tax, you are a strategic leader who can see beyond localized opportunities to identify the larger, holistic opportunity that Stripe Tax represents as part of the company’s broader expansion strategy. You will work across both Stripe Tax and TaxJar (a Stripe company) with a focus on both dashboard and API experiences related to indirect tax filing. This is a new, highly cross functional role with significant room to make an impact.

Responsibilities:

• Collaboratively partner with other Stripe teams (engineering, design, legal, etc) early in the product development lifecycle
• Deliver and iterate against Stripe Tax’s longer-term tax filing strategy
• Influence and align key partners and stakeholders to said strategy
• Cut through ambiguity to aid in TaxJar engineering prioritization

Minimum Requirements:

• Brings 5-10 years of experience in a product management role
• Spikes in cutting through ambiguity to produce strategic insights and opportunities
• Spikes in cross functional partnership and alignment
• Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Takes an ownership mindset and works on whatever it takes to solve problems and delight users
• Can dig deep into the data, think from first principles, and deliver the right results
