Stripe is a technology company that builds economic infrastructure for the internet. Businesses of all sizes—from new startups to public companies like Amazon and Salesforce—use our software to accept online payments and run technically sophisticated financial operations in more than 100 countries.  The Stripe platform manages the set of interoperable, comprehensive user facing abstractions that make up Stripe’s commerce and financial platform and supports numerous Stripe products (Payments, Treasury, Connect, Issuing, etc.)

We are looking for an experienced product manager to define the core runtime for Stripe platform that can compose core primitives into business workflows.  As fintech continues to transform offline and digital businesses, your work will unlock new users to scale their business models with Stripe. It’s a chance to have a huge impact on increasing the GDP of the Internet!

You Will:

  • Define the strategy, roadmap, and prioritization for the platform
  • Act as the voice of the user in product and API designs, gathering direct feedback from customers on our future APIs
  • Define the framework and metrics to measure the impact of the team’s offerings
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure you build solutions for our global customer base
  • Collaborate with product teams to ensure your solutions integrate seamlessly with all Stripe products
  • Work with Engineering and Product Design to build clean and easy-to-use runtime
  • Define and execute the GTM strategy that maximizes customer impact and learnings, while minimizing risk

We’re looking for someone who has

  • Product experience: 5+ years of PM experience with a track record of leading ambitious and ambiguous 0-to-1 projects
  • Strong user acumen: You enjoy digging into the details of user and developer needs, identifying how to make it better, and building product/technical solutions to do so
  • Strong stakeholder management: You have experience navigating difficult situations, negotiating timelines, and influencing internal and external stakeholders
  • Engineering partnership experience: You have partnered closely with engineers to build products (especially APIs) and complex systems at scale
  • Operational savvy: You are a strong operational leader, capable of driving a cross-functional team and process
  • Technical expertise: You get excited about getting into the details and are equally excited about beautiful API design
  • Crisp communicator: High attention to detail including precise and effective communications, including with external customers/partners
  • Results-oriented: You enjoy doing whatever it takes to execute on complex projects.

What’s it like to work at Stripe?

Stripe is helping the internet fulfill its potential as a platform for economic progress by building software tools that accelerate global economic access and technological development. Stripe makes it easy to start, run, and scale an internet business from anywhere in the world.

We look at Stripe as a constant work in progress and the same is true of our people; for all of us, we believe the best is yet to come. We’re here to support each other in our curiosity and creativity – which we pursue through thoughtful discussion and knowledge-sharing among a diverse set of peers and colleagues.

We want to work in a company of warm, inclusive people who treat their colleagues exceptionally well. The kind of people who are committed to going out of their way to help other Stripes in the short-term and pushing them to improve over the long-term (by helping them to get better at what they do).

We’re a highly cross-functional organization and view that as part of the fun: we design our space to encourage as much collaboration as possible. We have long tables in the kitchen for a reason (to enable everyone to meet new people and learn from them). We also have a culture of transparency that we carry through to email communication, ensuring that Stripes all around the world have the information they need to make good local decisions.

In both our products and our people, we aim to reflect, represent and advocate for all of our users, globally. Our users transcend geography, culture and language; what we share, collectively, is a drive to create a fairer, more economically interconnected world.
