Product Manager, Square Banking

Square builds common business tools in unconventional ways so more people can start, run, and grow their businesses. When Square started, it was difficult and expensive (or just plain impossible) for some businesses to take credit cards. Square made credit card payments possible for all by turning a mobile phone into a credit card reader. Since then Square has been building an entire business toolkit of both hardware and software products including Square Loans, Square Terminal, Square Payroll, and more. The Square Banking team is building a suite of new financial products for Square sellers. We offer business checking accounts, savings accounts, and loans to help our sellers manage their business cash flow.

Within Square Banking, the Banking Ecosystem team works horizontally to bring our banking products together into a single financial home for our sellers. We build the mobile app and web surfaces that surface our Square Banking products (Checking, Savings, Loans) together and give our sellers a clear view of their business finances.

As a Senior Product Manager on Banking Ecosystem, you will lead our strategy for building this banking home across Square's mobile apps and web Dashboard. These surfaces are key to Square Banking's future growth.

You will:

• Manage our shared web dashboard where sellers access their Square Banking products (Checking, Savings, Loans) together and view their finances with Square.
• Build a new mobile app banking home for our sellers.
• Manage the entire product life cycle from ideation, to planning, execution and launch; report into a Senior Product Manager on the team
• Interview and understand the jobs-to-be-done of our sellers
• Establish essential goals and ensure success is measurable and can be improved upon
• Inspire your peers and executives to build a partnership in delivering excellent products

• 5+ years of Product Management or equivalent experience
• Experience building customer-facing software products that those customers love and use frequently.
• Experience driving complex, multi-faceted products with multiple partners across the organization
• The ability to develop product strategy without well-defined direction.
• Customer empathy and experience shaping product direction and execution based on customer needs.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience building iOS/Android mobile app products
• Domain experience in fintech
