About us

Our mission is to reinvent the way people learn, starting with language. We begin by teaching the next billion people English, Spanish, and French.

English is the global language of business, culture, and communication, and over 1.5 billion people around the world are actively trying to learn right now. Others dream of communicating with the half-billion native Spanish speakers across the globe. The problem is that it's nearly impossible to learn to speak a language without constant access to a speaking partner. Grammar and vocab apps don't really help – you need to actually converse with someone.

Speak is on a journey to fix this. We're creating an AI-powered experience that replicates the flow of a conversation, without needing a human on the other end. The goal is to make it radically more accessible to be able to have conversations in a foreign language and eventually help hundreds of millions of people gain fluency who otherwise wouldn't be able to.

We started on this journey over five years ago and we've still got a long ways to go. We're thoughtfully adding new team members only when we think they can truly play a big role in our mission.

Speak launched first in South Korea where we have quickly grown to become the top grossing education app in the country. We have now delivered this winning product to more than 40 countries globally and are continuing to expand to more markets in the coming months. The company is well funded, and as of December 2024, we've reached a $1B valuation with our Series C round, through key partners like Accel, OpenAI, Founders Fund, Y Combinator, Khosla Ventures, Lachy Groom, Josh Buckley, and more. We’re a team of more than 90 based throughout San Francisco, Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, and Ljubljana.

About this role

We’re hiring a Product Manager for Speak for Business (S4B) — our fast-growing B2B offering that enables global companies to deliver world-class AI-powered English training to their teams. You’ll own the product vision and roadmap for our enterprise platform, working across onboarding, engagement and efficacy features to personalized curriculum solutions tailored to real workplace needs. With surging inbound demand from international employers and a deeply engaged learner base, this role is pivotal in turning a promising sales channel into a scaled, standalone product. It’s a unique opportunity to shape how leading global brands upskill their workforce — combining the polish of consumer UX with the power of enterprise-grade infrastructure.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own the S4B product strategy and roadmap end-to-end — from long-term vision to quarterly priorities to weekly execution, aligning with company-wide goals

  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Success, Engineering, Design, and Marketing to define priorities, unblock execution, and deliver value to enterprise customers

  • Drive strategic initiatives end-to-end, including product discovery, roadmap development, cross-functional alignment, and post-launch iteration

  • Embed deeply in customer feedback loops, becoming a trusted voice of the enterprise buyer and their teams, and translating needs into scalable product solutions

  • Shape how global enterprises teach English at scale, leveraging Speak’s AI infrastructure to pioneer dynamic, company-specific curriculum experiences

What we’re looking for

  • 3–6+ years of product management experience with a strong track record of shipping enterprise SaaS products users love

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams from discovery through delivery — across engineering, design, data, and GTM

  • Sharp product intuition and the ability to turn complex, ambiguous problems into elegant, scalable solutions

  • Technically fluent and comfortable working closely with engineers and analysts to scope features, navigate trade-offs, and drive data-informed decisions

  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills — able to align stakeholders through clear synthesis of user needs and trade-offs

  • High ownership mindset; thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and scopes work to balance speed with quality

  • Strategic systems thinker who can zoom out to shape long-term vision and zoom in to optimize user experiences

  • Deep user empathy, especially for enterprise admins and learners navigating complex organizational contexts

  • Passion for Speak’s mission and problem we're trying to solve

Why work at Speak

  4. Impact people's lives in a major way: Learning a language is one of the single most life-changing skills one can learn, and right now 99% of people never achieve their goal because the process is broken. We’re helping millions of people achieve their goals and improve their lives.
