Product Manager, Security job at Mission

As a Product Manager, Security, you will report to the Director of Product and work closely with the Security Practice Lead. You will develop products and services that help customers solve security and compliance problems in their AWS environments. You will work on product and service definition, feature prioritization, customer interaction, positioning, adoption, and enablement. You will collect feedback from our current customers and internal teams on our products and constantly seek to improve our services.

This position is 100% remote

Responsibilities

Manage assigned Mission products and services, from conception to post-launch management, including feature development, positioning, and product details
Work closely with the Security Practice Lead to develop and execute product strategy for security and compliance services
Engage with customers and our internal teams to understand customer needs and pain points and to promote broad adoption of Mission products and services
Work with Mission teams to bring products and services to market and ensure all stakeholders are aligned on goals and timelines
Create clear product requirements and user stories to develop new products and services, and support ongoing management of Mission’s product backlog
Conduct user research, co-creation workshops, product experimentation, and design sprints
Report on performance metrics for Mission products and services
Synthesize insights from user research, customer meetings, sales feedback, competitive analysis, and usage data to identify new opportunities
Monitor the AWS market and stay up to date on AWS services
Perform competitive analysis and ensure Mission services are differentiated
Work with other Product Managers to jointly build innovative solutions to support our customer’s needs
Be an expert on Mission products and services

Requirements

3+ years of technical product management experience bringing successful solutions to market
1+ years of experience in the security / compliance space as a practitioner or product manager
Experience managing products through each phase of the product development life cycle
Experience with roadmapping, building customer journey maps, user story mapping, and creating personas
Experience leading co-creation workshops and design sprints, conducting user research and product experimentation, and running and documenting customer interviews
Experience creating and effectively presenting product collateral and tools, including data-informed strategies and product requirements
Ability to find and address product development risks
Experience designing technology-enabled managed services
Familiarity with online whiteboarding tools, web analytics tools, prototyping tools, and experimentation platforms
AWS Security certification (required within first year of employment)
