Where & How We Work
At HappyCo we work in a multitude of ways depending on where we are and what is going on in our lives. Whether that be fully remote or hybrid remote, or in-office sometimes, we cater for everyone!
We currently have an office in Adelaide, Australia but our team is currently spread across Australia, United States, New Zealand, Canada and we are growing rapidly!

As our HQ is in Adelaide, so if you are based there you have the option of working in the office, at home or in a hybrid capacity! For those in other states, we enable complete remote working!

Being globally distributed means thinking about other time zones and to support this we offer autonomy and flexibility in how you structure your day around core working hours. There might be some collaboration outside of a "normal" 9-5, but we aim to work asynchronously as much as possible.

The Position:

ProductOps is about building the connective tissue between the teams building the technology and the teams interacting with your users. We are looking for an experienced Product Manager who is passionate about defining the workflows, tools and principles of how we build products that our customers and users love. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with Product Managers, Engineering and Design to instil best practice into every aspect of how Product Managers maximise their impact at HappyCo.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be obsessed with Product Management as a craft. You’ll be able to run ProductOps like a Product, with Product Managers as your core users. Thriving in environments where others rely on you to define how to do their best work, you’ll be motivated by creating efficiencies in teams by finding the standards that work for individuals with different needs and preferences.

Responsibilities/Job Duties:

  • Define how we build products at HappyCo by creating and maintaining guidelines, how-to references and resources for Product Managers documenting workflows for product discovery and delivery
  • Act as an interface into Engineering and Design teams and their respective workflows, closely aligning and empathising with their needs
  • Set standards for requirements documentation across the Product team
  • Refine our workflow - all the way from identifying Strategic Themes down to writing detailed acceptance criteria in User Stories
  • Manage the product tech stack by helping select and maintaining product-specific tools that help our team be more productive, and training product managers on how to use them
  • Facilitate roadmap planning, roadmap artefact creation and sharing our roadmap internally and externally, as well as communicating when things change and why
  • Document product principles and set up frameworks to adhere to them, making sure we build the best products we can
  • Support the Lead Product Manager in organising training and development for Product Managers

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3+ years experience in a Product Management role
  • Thorough understanding of key processes in Product Management, including discovery and research, requirements definition, roadmap planning, product strategy, product vision, and prioritisation

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • B2B SaaS Product Management experience
  • Experience with Residential Real Estate or the Mortgage Lending industry
