Join the team as our next Product Manager, Product-Led Growth

Who we are & why we’re hiring

Twilio powers real-time business communications and data solutions that help companies and developers worldwide build better applications and customer experiences.

Although we're headquartered in San Francisco, we're on a journey to becoming a globally antiracist company that supports diversity, equity & inclusion wherever we do business. We employ thousands of Twilions worldwide, and we're looking for more builders, creators, and visionaries to help fuel our growth momentum.

About the job

Twilio Segment is growing rapidly and seeking a Product Manager to be a key leader in a stellar customer experience for our self-service customer base. The majority of our customers begin in Segment’s self-service offerings (Free and Team plan offerings), so delivering a best-in-class experience at this stage is crucial. Self-service functions as a microcosm of the Segment business as a whole - with its own funnels for acquisition, activation, retention, and upsell. This role is unique in that you will not only be driving forward a product roadmap, but gaining an intimate understanding of the business metrics and levers to drive greater product-led growth at Segment.

Responsibilities

In this role,

  • You will define the product vision and strategy for the self-service customer experience team
  • You will work extremely closely with design, research, and engineering to deliver the best possible customer experience.
  • You will create product roadmap from conception to launch, driving product vision & roadmap, and weighing tradeoffs to determine and deliver most high-impact product experiences.
  • You will balance quick wins, experimentation, and tech-debt with a longer-term feature roadmap.
  • You will work closely with product and engineering leadership across the org to clearly understand cross team dependencies and come up with concrete execution plans that will help meet our customer needs while balancing the realities of shipping highly complex software across multiple teams.
  • You will work closely with data analytics team to identify and quantify success criteria for all your products and features
  • You will work closely with research and design teams to ensure thorough understanding of customer pain points and identifying highest priorities across our broad customer base.

Qualifications

Not all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having “desired” qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!

Required:

  • 4+ years of product management and/or experience managing complex technical products
  • Strong product sense and have demonstrated experience synthesizing large sets of information into clean, easy to understand and actionable product requirements
  • Experience brainstorming vague ideas and turning them into concrete specs working with engineering and design teams
  • Excellent problem solving, organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Good at dealing with ambiguity and clearly synthesizing actionable next steps
  • Bias for action
  • Ability to dive deep and get into the weeds while maintaining the ability to zoom out and think big picture.

Desired:

  • Relevant experience handling product-led growth at a B2B SaaS company

Location

This role can be remote, and based in the USA or it can be based in one of our offices throughout the US.

Occasional travel to the San Francisco office for offsites is anticipated.
