Overview

OLX is looking for a customer-obsessed & entrepreneurial product manager to join the Checkout and Post Transaction Experience Team within the Buyer experience group in the OLX Autos business unit, based out of our offices in Gurgaon.

The Buyer Experience group plays a very critical role in the success of buyers in achieving their primary goal of buying a car that best meets their needs. The group helps millions of used car buyers, across emerging global markets on the OLX platform, in 

  • Discover the right cars on the platform by
    • enabling search
    • creating relevant listings 
    • enabling filters & sorting
    • providing personalised recommendations
  • Understanding the value a car offers by 
    • presenting all the details in an easy and engaging view
    • providing a transparent assessment of its history & condition 
    • providing a fair valuation using ML models
    • providing comparison and real-world performance and adoption insights
  • Finalising the car by 
    • resolving their queries using AI based assistive chat
    • facilitating meaningful conversations 
    • assisting in digital / physical meetings 
    • providing home / store test drives 
  • proceeding to purchase with trust and peace of mind while providing a highly localised experience across all OLX Autos’ markets.

The Buyer Experience group also plays a crucial role in helping sellers seamlessly sell cars by engaging in meaningful conversations with serious / strong intent buyers, using AI / ML to help them respond to buyer queries quickly and efficiently and helping them efficiently manage meetings / test drives 

The checkout and post transaction experience team within the Buyer experience group help buyers with

  • ability to pay a token amount & reserve a car
  • schedule a home delivery or store pick up
  • full fledged checkout with cross-sell and exchange (VAS, finance)
  • manage the post transaction experience 
  • manage documentation
  • pay at home or digitally
  • view and manage orders

What will you do?

A product management role in OLX Autos is a challenging and enticing role where, as part of a global product organisation catering to needs of car buyers and sellers, you get to shape and build an immersive, multilingual, multi geography and omnichannel experience across multiple emerging markets.

As a product manager for the Checkout and Post-Transaction Team, you will be responsible for shaping and crafting an actionable product strategy to identify, prioritize and solve key problems that the buyers face while completing the car purchase process. You will help buyers with checkout, documentation management, home delivery of car, providing easy payment options at home, providing post-transaction support etc. 

On a day to day basis, you will be expected to

  • Actively listen and connect with customers (current and potential) and their needs.
  • Pull and analyze data from different self-serve internal sources, key industry benchmarks, and emerging trends to deliver high quality and actionable customer centric product / feature proposals and user stories.
  • Develop detailed product specifications in collaboration with business, design, and development teams.
  • Own and drive well prioritised product and feature roadmap that balances metric movers, customer delights and customer asks.
  • Drive delivery and discovery efforts with an urge to learn fast and creating real impact
  • Define and own success metrics to improve customer efficiency and effectiveness
  • Obsess over problem solving, UX details and user centric design (mental models, storyboards, personas, contextual research, prototyping).

Who we’re looking for:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from tier 1 institution. Preferred MBA from tier 1 institution - not mandatory
  • Work experience: Minimum 3 years of Product Management experience in a consumer Internet or e-commerce company. 
  • You are obsessed about users - you place yourself in the position of your users to make something amazing for them. You have driven user research and usability studies in the past
  • You like to solve problems, dig into data and find creative solutions
  • You are passionate about mobile apps, always on the lookout for that new application that makes your life easier
  • Bonus: Experience in post-transaction charter with an ecommerce organisation.
  • Bonus: Experience in creating omnichannel product experience 
  • Bonus: Hands-on prior experience in building consumer facing products from scratch and scaling the product to millions of users
