As a Product Manager Associate, you’ll be a member of the Product Management team, working closely with our engineers to guide products from design to launch to generate profitable streams. You will have complete ownership of your product scope, including the product plan to reach the North star metrics.
At AB Tasty, the PM spends half of his/her time gathering user feedback, working with users and customers to find problems and value, and as the Product Owner of his/her Squad, spends the other half working with Developers and product designers to help wireframe UIs, create user stories/acceptance criteria, trim the product backlog, participate in agile rituals.
As a PM, you’ll also support product marketers to create presentations and materials, run early adopter programs, gather use cases to enable business teams with new product features.
Responsibilities
- Help decide what to build: you’ll work closely with customers, sales, professional services, customer success, and engineering to prioritize features based on feedback, data evidence, business objectives and engineering effort estimates;
- Add clear details: you own and write comprehensive product specifications and opportunity assessments. You develop epics, user stories, workflows, acceptance criteria and initial prototypes and partner with engineers along the way;
- Ship ship ship: you’re the product owner and voice of customer within the Product development squads, collaborating daily with engineers in the chosen agile development methodology to deliver new features and continuous improvements;
- Ensure quality of deliverables: you have an attention to details, you document and execute functional tests, and you manage user feedback of alpha and early adopter programs, as well as bug triage and prioritization;
- Ensure smooth launch: you lead with the support of Product Marketing, all business readiness activities, end-user training, rollout, iteration and support;
- Build, measure, learn: you foster a culture of data driven decision making by measuring the impact of what you’ve built, make mistakes, iterate, and continuously improve (Kaizen).
Essential Skills & Experience
- 1 year total experience or personal projects building, delivering, and supporting data tools, services, and products;
- Bachelor degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or equivalent experience or equivalent professional experience;
- You can code in HTML/CSS/JS and understand the development process/principles, including Git, Markdown, APIs;
- You’re a good communicator: you must be a strong speaker and storyteller, comfortable in front of large, senior groups;
- You're an excellent planner : you plan in advance and can anticipate potential risks (technical, operational, legal or business);
- You have strong customer & stakeholder empathy: you feel comfortable with different kind of profiles, from decision makers to end-users, marketers, sales, CSMs, tech teams and are not afraid to talk to customers.
