About the Team

The payments team is on the mission to grow and empower local economies by creating frictionless, flexible, and rewarding money experiences while enabling our business to scale efficiently in a compliant manner

Organization initiative areas:

  • Payments Platform: The payments platform team is responsible for creating frictionless, flexible, and fast payment experiences for all our audiences (consumers, merchants, and dashers), while enabling our business to scale efficiently to new verticals and markets globally.  Build best-in-class payment experiences with no interruptions and optimized for performance.
  • Consumer Financials: The consumer Financials team is responsible for making every eatable and shoppable moment at DoorDash more affordable through unmatched rewards and benefits to our most loyal customers including DashPass customers, both on and off DoorDash. Build next-generation programs (such as Gift Cards, the recently announced DoorDash Credit Card which offers uniquely delightful and exclusive rewards and benefits, and much more) by launching innovations around discovery, purchase experience, rewards, and loyalty/retention for our B2C and B2B channels.
  • Dasher Financials: The Dasher Financials team is responsible for creating financial products and solutions that support Dashers in achieving their life goals for their day-to-day and long-term financial needs.

About the Role

You'll work among engineers and operators in a fast-growing environment. The role requires a mix of great technical depth, principled thinking, and well-honed product judgment. Given the three-sided nature of our business, you will not have the luxury of having tunnel vision for any one area; rather, you will need to think holistically and understand the business deeply to set the right long-term strategy for the company.

This role requires a skillful balance of well-placed technology & platform thinking, a sharp consumer-first eye, and strong cross-functional collaboration across all business verticals in our marketplace.

We are looking for a product leader who thrives on crafting a world-class user experience, driving business impact, and scaling 0-to-1 opportunities.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Lead a cross-functional team of engineering, design, operations, analytics, marketing, user research, and content strategy.
  • Drive product definition, strategy, and long-term vision for a key growth opportunity for DoorDash
  • Develop and execute a product roadmap through close collaboration with senior leadership, Operations, Business Intelligence, Finance, and Engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with a stellar team of researchers and data scientists to run UXR, usability studies, data-driven experiments, and platform improvements to inform product direction.
  • Establish, monitor, and measure success metrics after launch. Consistently integrate behavior data and customer feedback into key product decisions.
  • Partner with Product Managers across the company to guide and develop payment capabilities for new products. Establish business cases and projected return on investment to identify and prioritize opportunities.

We're excited about you because…

  • You have 5+ years of product management, technical product management, or product platform experience in the tech industry
  • You have 3 or more years of experience in payments, e-commerce, retail, digital media, or financial services industries
  • You have experience defining strategic vision and tactical execution to build large scale payments platforms
  • You have experience shipping platform and audience facing products at scale: you've launched and scaled delightful products that impact the lives of millions or billions of consumers.
  • You have a natural ability to make stuff happen around you through influence. You handle chaos, ambiguity, and complexity, in a detailed, organized way. You enjoy collaborating cross-organizationally
  • You can articulate a clear product vision to cross-functional partners and our leadership team, and can clearly communicate in plain English complex relevant products
  • Hands-on design or engineering experience is a plus
