Product Manager, Payment Method Optimization

Stripe’s mission is to increase the GDP of the internet. Our team helps accelerate this mission by building diverse payment methods across the globe, making them available across our products and adding net new payment volume for Stripe. Through our products, merchants can easily offer a large selection of payment methods to their customers at checkout. They can even recommend the most optimal payment method to each customer based on their preferences such that it improves conversion and the overall experience with payments. Global adoption for payment method optimization is one of highest priority for Stripe in 2022 and our team is set to transform the way merchants and buyers have been interacting with payment methods historically.

As a product manager on Automatic Payment Methods Adoption team, you will have the opportunity to survey how payments work across the globe, craft the long-term strategy as well as regional and segment specific solutions to drive local payment method adoption for Stripe. You will design new, cutting-edge, seamless experiences to drive adoption of multiple payment methods and unlock new, global payment volume for Stripe.

You will:

• Establish shared vision across the company for adoption of automatic payment methods, build consensus on priorities and drive major product improvements
• Define the OKRs for adoption and identify levers to drive the key metric 
• Identify product idea and drive launches working with top customers, internal teams like marketing, finance, analytics and other product management team members
• Own experiments and create mechanisms to test and forecast the feasibility and success of initiatives 
• Write product/marketing documents, requirements, user stories, ensuring clear coordination across business, design, development and finance
• Communicate details, updates and launches across all stakeholders, senior leadership and customer communications
• Proactively identify and resolve strategic and tactical issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet financial and technical goals

We’re looking for someone who has:

• 5+ years of product management/management consulting/product development experience
• Ability to operate in a cross-functional environment, coordinate across multiple stakeholders 
• Experience working with software teams/shipping technical software products/features
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
