We are looking for entrepreneurial and passionate Product Managers to innovate and execute across a rapidly growing, fast paced company and industry from our San Francisco headquarters.

We’re looking for an experienced product manager to drive the product vision and strategy to build the industry’s leading pay platform, which powers Lyft’s growing set of transportation modes including rideshare, bikes & scooters and fleet. The pay platform enables core pay primitives such as authorisation, billing, subscriptions, tokenization and payment processing, and empowers multiple teams to build new products and experiences. This individual is experienced and passionate about building platforms that enable critical use cases and business growth, and can effectively partner with engineers, scientists, analysts and operations. This product manager will bring industry best practices to Lyft and be an evangelist for this platform across the company.   

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the long-term vision and strategy of our pay platform, focusing on enabling key use cases, driving impact and balancing technical considerations 
  • Translate customer and internal-user needs into clear, well-defined functional and technical requirements. Execute on the roadmap with proper OKRs and project tracking
  • Communicate roadmaps, priorities and decisions across a wide spectrum of audiences from partner teams to executive levels. Ensure that key leadership & stakeholders are aligned on proper priorities, opportunities and progress on key initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Data Science  and Design teams to define scope, review and refine technical capabilities, prioritize projects for release, and define new opportunities.
  • Identify partnership opportunities across the company and expand the usage of platform services across the company
  • Work with engineering on headcount to ensure successful resourcing for projects
  • Communicate clearly roadmaps, priorities, experiments and decisions across a wide spectrum of audiences from partner teams to executive levels. Ensure that key leadership & stakeholders are aligned on proper priorities, opportunities and progress on key initiatives

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience (building technical platforms preferred) 
  • An academic background in Computer Science or related engineering discipline.
  • Enjoys working on deeply technical products, closely collaborating with a passionate engineering team
  • Experience (or deep interest) in working in the payments space  
  • Past experience building and scaling platform products that drive scale across multiple teams 
  • History of effectively working with multiple teams to build new capability and implement projects
  • Confident in decision-making, providing concise, clear, direct communication
  • Excellent written and communication skills especially to senior executives
  • Detail oriented with superior organizational skills -- balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and requests should be second nature to you.
