We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to help shape a tool that thousands of developers use every day. You’ll head up our new Onboarding team helping them define, design and develop improvements to the overall experience of getting started with Buildkite. The team will be empowered and resourced to approach this from UX and documentation through to the ergonomics of our cloud stacks and CLI tools.
You’ll report directly to our VP of Product.
Your typical day may include:
Jumping on a Zoom call with a new trial customer, to learn more about any friction points they had while setting up Buildkite
Working with an engineer to add some new tracking to the product around agent activation, and setting up a MixPanel dashboard to visualise the flow
Pairing with a technical writer on your team to work on an updated IA to address some issues around how Security issues are presented in our docs
Collaborating with the designer on your team to think through the potential impact of proposed changes to the product signup flow
Writing up a proposal for another team in Basecamp for a change to the way repository providers are configured, based on some data you’ve observed in MixPanel
Jumping on a call with a Support Engineer to better understand some changes they’ve proposed to the Getting Started docs
This job is for you if you have:-
A passion for the DevOps ecosystem and associated technologies, or relevant experience with other dev tools-
Creativity and an eye for detail-
A strong sense of curiosity, and experience in leading product research and discovery-
A strong experiment mindset, experience with tracking product success metrics, and implementing changes to impact them over time- Experience in mapping out, designing and iterating on user journeys-
Exposure to product packaging and positioning, and product marketing-
Experience building up new product teams in a startup/scaleup environment- E
mpathy and effective communication skills.
We are a remote team, you’ll spend some time on Zoom calls, Linear and Basecamp communicating with the team
